Most of them are outdoing her in terms of streams, album sales, hit singles etc...but she is still doing respectable figures. However ASIB is going to elevate her relevancy so much more. Mainly because the movie will force Gaga to promote it and appear on many late night shows, day time shows, actor award shows and even music award shows to promote the film and soundtrack. Not only that but the movie is obviously going to have plenty of TV commercials that may include her music. Even if the film bombs the build up to the release will elevate her status a lot more. So for now it may seem like a horrible move to film this film and abandon her album era after only 7 months but it will hopefully all be worth it at the end. The movie seems Western based too, so after the movie gets released, Joanne will probably have aged a bit well , for both her and the movie to compliment each other. Gaga will do everything in her power to try and make the film a success. I don't think she wants her first leading role in a film to be a flop. Bradley will also put pressure on her since it is his first directing venture (I think). They are going to work so hard to make this film stick. It's just it's clear she is behind most of her contemporaries right now. Like you said it could be because she is the "weird girl" but that does not falsify what I said. Stats are stats and I am sure you can co sign that. I'm not debating "why" or "what" is making her fall behind her contemporaries in terms of relevancy. It could be many things or just the things you mentioned. All I'm saying is ASIB is going to for sure elevate her current status and help her a bunch.
