socotra 3,310
Kanye West, Eminem, Chance the Rapper, or Childish Gambino. Quality rappers with artistic integrity. Oooorrrrr Frank Ocean (although not a rapper, still could be included in the "urban" vein).
Tercodio 107
Kendrick or J. Cole would be ideal. But I know there will be creative differences. Maybe some unknown/underground rapper that's trying to breakthrough? If they're good then I'm down for an unknown. I'm not sure if any female rapper is worth it. Azealia Banks woulda been great but she needs some milk. Nicki,no. Iggy, no. Cupcakke, maybe but still no. I just don't know.

Gaga submitted late for the target due date so she was cut. She was fixing it up forever. I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill. Why is the industry so sexist? There are like 377843758 successful/known male rappers, but 7 or 8 females. So unfair. I only want Gaga to associate herself with artists of integrity, not sellouts. That's why I'd much rather see an Azealia Banks collab (but still no), someone less known to the public, or a completely new talent that she believes in. If this was 2012, I would've said Kendrick, but he's featured on too many songs now with the same tired "never give up" verse imo. ToxicHot 6,444
Oh jeez. Let me tell you all....... I've loved hip-hop/R&B/urban music ever since I was a child, and it saddens me that Gaga hasn't dabbled much into this field while her female peers seem to be much more involved (Beyoncé, Rihanna, Ariana, hell even Katy now). Correct me if I'm wrong, but she's only worked with Flo Rida, Wale, Kendrick (although, scrapped), and T.I.+Too $hort+Twista. So, she hasn't had much exposure in this scene. It has been a DREAM of mine for her to work with Drake. Just IMAGINE the amount of slayage a collaboration with him would have brought back when they were BOTH booming and starting out in the music industry (sometime around 2009-2011). I honestly think Drake's vocals/rapping style could compliment Gaga really well. Imagine a song like Do What U Want, but with Drake rather than R. Kelly, or maybe even a song like Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe, where she would sing the hook and he raps. It's now 2017, and I still think a collaboration between the two would sound great, and perhaps COULD be possible considering how they have both solidified high statuses in music by now. After all, they've both crossed over into pop/hip-hop enough that makes a collaboration between the two not sound entirely unrealistic. If there's any collaboration I would EVER advocate for, it's definitely this one. Who knows, it could be something incredible. Both have large audiences in mainstream music, I'm sure it would garner some media attention. I can't be the only one that thinks they could create something great together. Moving on from Drake, besides him, I really can't see just any rapper hop on a Gaga track (no matter what the genre of it may be--pop, R&B, etc.). I think rappers such as Kanye West (a collab between them would be long overdue) or Logic would be pretty interesting. A rapper with at least some sense of artistic integrity. Who knows, maybe even someone quite underground could fit well on a Gaga song. Now, I've been a Nicki stan for years now, and I remember at one point I dreamed that they would someday collaborate. But now.... it just doesn't look or feel likely. They seem somewhat polarized from each other in the music industry. I also stan Iggy, but truly, I really don't see a collaboration between them either (not to mention that Iggy's career, while extremely unfortunate, has fallen from grace since 2014). I feel like Gaga's style is too picky, you can't just attach any artist or rapper to something she does, it doesn't always work. (However, for some reason, Jewels N' Drugs seems to work well with its three rappers--probably due to the production/energy of the song.) Now, I would've loved the collaborations with Azealia Banks to fall through, as in 2012 her career looked very hopeful and promising--fast forward to five years later and its a disgusting mess, and I'm honestly glad Gaga scrapped her work for ARTPOP. That's really the only female rapper right now I could have imagined on a Gaga song. I really like CupcakKe, but that's something I really cannot see happening. Although she has publicly said she loves Gaga, so that's cute! Anyway, sorry for my long rambling. I just wanted to write out my thoughts on this topic.
