The reason people 'get pissed' about these attacks is because they're becoming the norm in Western society, they hate our Western culture that allows us to be free. It actually pisses me off when people jump on the bandwagon "Oh but what about the rest of the world?" Yes it's tragic what goes on in the Middle East, but that's a war torn place and when I see my home country being attacked itmakes me upset.

I'm sorry but why is everyone butt hurt that she didn't say a thing about it ? Like you guys have to simmer down and focus on what's important and how to support the victims instead.

Plus, in a world where major terror attacks happen all around the globe, but only a chosen part of those attacks get the support and empathy, while others (who have been injured and affected 10x worse than those brought to light) are being kept in silence. I'd personally rather not say a damn word about anything related to it. And I believe that's how Gaga is treating all of these horrors.

That would go against everything Gaga is portraying: Being fearless, powerful, strong, and kind.

Remember that one country protested against her. Or the time she wanted Russia to arrest her?

It is not the same as putting your fans lives in danger tho

So when my country of Lebanon was attacked last year in ISIS related bombings, that really didn't matter? What about all the other attacks going on in the world? You think that's the norm for them? To expect to be blown up or shot or stabbed or hit by a truck? Yikes at your mentality. I'm embarrassed for you.

shame

When tweeting about something makes you seem like a validated moral person more than silently acting on your condolences... Social media can only help to an extent. Whatever happened to pure contributions?

Well, that completely normalizes the lack of sympathy they get doesn't it? :awkney:

Can a mod close this thread?

The OP/member seems to be harshly uneducated on subjects like this and is becoming highly offensive to the Western fraction of the world.

This thread can either go one of two ways. Properly or improperly (which is very likely).

It's going to get out of hand.

She's a singer, not a government official. She doesn't have to or should respond to every terror attack in the world publicly.

People are being attacked and killed because of the way that they were BORN. Because they're women, because they're gay, because they're Westerners, because they are Christian. It is hypocritical of Gaga to preach a message of love but not speak out when hate is practiced. I've never been more disappointed with her, ever. She has a duty to speak out. This isn't the Gaga that we all fell in love with, that's for sure.

Are you kidding me? You're selfish. I've never been more disappointed in YOU.

Well im sad and angry that my favourite pop star has let me down in these difficult moments. I live in London, just watched thr Ariana concert and so wish she had been there to show her support.

Or if not, at least send in a video or tweet her support... takes 20 seconds. I feel really let down. I don't care what you guys say... i need gaga and she is nowhere to be seen...

As hard as it might be for you to believe, she isn't your personal life wellness coach. My condolences go out to everyone in London and to you! But please... don't do this.

yes, you're totally right. I'm so dissapointed in Gaga, oh my god, I think I cannot be her fan anymore. What a shame, she didn't tweet anything.

What kind of a ****ed up world do we live in when you stop being a fan of a musician because she didn't type a 140 character tweet on social media. This is ridiculous and messed up. Stop it. Now.

What? A simple tweet to show her respect and support for the Manchester concert is not going to make her cancel her plans with whatever she is doing.

She doesn't owe anybody anything and is free to react to current events in whatever way she chooses. We know she's been a strong voice against this stuff before, and she's still that person. Calm down. Her friend just died and she's hard at work, I don't care how simple you think it would be to make a statement she doesn't owe anyone anything. She might not even have the words to react right now. Ya'll need to stop being so incredibly selfish and judgemental, it's sick.

Also, don't you guys realize that expecting her to tweet is exactly the kind of celebrity culture that she loathes?
