teawhore 7,667
Although The Cure is beyond saving, what could Gaga have done to not let it flop as badly as it did? EDIT: I read the comments as I am seeing evidence that proves that it WAS a hit, sorry ♡ nyc ♡
Red 98,276
I want my single to flop like The Cure did, being #1 on iTunes for days and almost topping Spotify's charts with no promo If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating. theARTVampire 3,718
The Cure is far from being a flop .. She couldn't do much she was really busy filming...maybe some kind of commercial deal /add with the song could've helped or a different kind of lyric video... Born To Slay 10,996
Given any promo at all. The fact it's still top 20 on pop radio, was hovering in the top 40 of iTunes before the discount and top 50 of Spotify with literally no effort at all on Gaga's part really shows it could've been a hit. Seriously, she could've just done the BMAs, The Voice, a flak Show and given it a cool and cute video and the song would've been a legit hit.

But for our standards, putting a single out and being top 30 in every major market from the globe without any promo is a smash. And US radio is just ignoring her as always, the song was top 30 without a discount with little to no audience. It was hanging there only from the Lady Gaga name alone. The Cure has not only performed decent on iTunes, but it is her biggest hit on streaming by FAR in capital letters. Gaga needed The Cure and it did wonders... She could put out another pop song in a month and it would perform similarly thanks to TC. The only thing we missed was a major oportinity to revive her VEVO channel with a MV. 『𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐝』
