The Fame is a concept album. She can't just put any song on it. And back in the day, it was actually her thing that she didn't sing about love, like all other singers. And this is just a heartbreak bop.

I'm not sure if it fits on the album but she should've released it anyway. It's fantastic!

Brown Eyes doesn't fit the album, I guess, and Eh, Eh has a whole different sound than the rest of the tracks.

Isn't Brown Eyes and Paparazzi about love tho (probably some others too) ..?

I actually really would have thought that this song would be a great inbetweener. Especially after Paparazzi / Brown eyes.

For me this song really fits the album.

Yeah now that you say it, Brown Eyes is there. Paparazzi is about an aspect of fame so it fits...

Another explanation is that they didn't want her to do a more R&B sound when establishing her as an artist, this is why many amazing songs, like Freakshow as well, were never officially released. Or maybe she just didn't like it, who knows.

The song is a cute bop. The vocals are everything   But I think the song is not as good as most of the material in The Fame and didn't really fit in the album. It sounds so 00s pop girl group to me.

Summerboy / LoveGame is about the fame - not taking relationships (and life) seriously and just playing, like how celebrities do. Remember, the concept is feeling famous even if you are not already famous. It toootally fits here

Paparazzi too - chased by paparazzi?

Poker Face - the lyrics are really about nothing unless you hear her explanation that it's about bisexuality

Paparazzi is about her stalking Luc Carl :poot:

I have to disagree with Lovegame and Paparazzi. Lovegame is her telling someone if they choose love or fame, but they choosed love. And in Paparazzi, she takes the role of the paparazzi, chasing her guy until he says wants to be hers.
