dit 46,738
I think it was fake. Like they did a mock ceremony for fun. Which is still rather odd thing to do for scientific ppl who are mostly non believers and atheists....meaning they should not believe in God or in Satan. Just weird. Guess they were playing theater for fun lol

Mr Judas 4,106
Why does one of the world’s premier research institutes have a statue of Lord Shiva? Unveiled on June 18, 2004, the two-metre-tall statue was a gift from the Government of India in 2004. A plaque next to the statue, with a quote by Fritjof Capra, explains its significance: “Hundreds of years ago, Indian artists created visual images of dancing Shivas in a beautiful series of bronzes. In our time, physicists have used the most advanced technology to portray the patterns of the cosmic dance. The metaphor of the cosmic dance thus unifies ancient mythology, religious art and modern physics.” Physicist Fritjof Capra further explained in The Tao of Physics: “The Dance of Shiva symbolises the basis of all existence. At the same time, Shiva reminds us that the manifold forms in the world are not fundamental, but illusory and ever-changing. Modern physics has shown that the rhythm of creation and destruction is not only manifest in the turn of the seasons and in the birth and death of all living creatures, but is also the very essence of inorganic matter." http://www.dnaindia.com/india/report-maha-shivratri-why-cern-the-world-s-largest-particle-physics-lab-has-a-statue-of-lord-shiva-2186655

ZephyrInTheSky 1,235
What kind of creepy mess is this? Weirdos. There can be 99 bottoms in the area but all it takes is 1 top to believe in you.
FATCAT 60,977
It's incredibly ironic that the religious pretend that they have evidence, or have experienced a god, and want people to believe them as fact, yet when provided with real fact and evidence, they squirm and run for the hills. On any multitude of topics. War. Famine. Disease. Genocide. There is no god or gods. When you die, nothing. This kitten over here (meow)
