Homosexual activity is illegal in Malaysia so this isn't surprising, the format however is absurd tbh. Still disgusted by the world, we have a long way to go towards being a truly modern society. Malaysia has been run by corrupt government officials and deeply ignorant to liberal ideologies. This is not likely change due to corruption + traditional Islam being so heavily emphasized in their culture. I'm not in Malaysia currently since I'm furthering my studies in Japan but from what I heard from my gay friends, it seems like the LGBTQ community is growing.
