Of course, a host keeps the show running but even the best host in the world should not command all that money, even 10 million is too much. I had no idea American shows paid their judges fees of this level. In the UK, getting a judge paid £2 million was considered far too much by the public. If Katy has no room to talk as a judge and the show flops, the public are going to give her no mercy. I still can't believe she even accepted this. At least this way, we'll never have to feel guilty for putting her down. If she invests that $25 million wisely, she'll be rich for the rest of her life. It's only when celebrities can't pay their rent and have to sell their stuff that I start to feel truly sorry for them. But if they're earning that much and still can't do their jobs well, my sympathy is limited. I didn't know until recently that she'd guested as a judge on the series way back when she'd just got famous. I think this gives you an idea of how insufferable she'll be as a judge: "This is not a Lifetime movie, sweetheart..." If I'd been there, that water would be over her.
