Support for Trump's impeachment rose 5 points in the Politico/Morning Consult poll, from 38 percent to 43 percent, in the last week. Forty five percent now say the president should continue with business as usual. Pollsters found that more than half of voters who said they want to see Trump impeached say they want impeachment proceedings to go ahead "regardless of whether he committed an impeachable offense or not.” Opinions are split heavily down partisan lines, according to the results. Seventy one percent of Democrats want Congress to impeach Trump, while 76 percent of Republicans say he should remain in office. Trump's approval ratings also appear to be stabilizing in the poll. Forty five percent of voters approve of the job Trump is doing for the second consecutive week , up from a low of 41 percent during Trump's first overseas trip.
