HausOfHarlow 380
While Ultraviolence still holds a high #1 in my books, I absolutely love Honeymoon. Many of the songs remind me of her early days, when I fell in love with her and her music. I wasn't too fond of the title song, Honeymoon, but I really enjoyed the other songs. High By the Beach and Freak were very good and the beats were . The Blackest Day literally last tells a story and a grieving process - truly a masterpiece. Swan Song is hauntingly beautiful and low-key made me worried she may not make anymore records. Music To Watch Boys To and its music video was incredible. Terrence Loves You was just and still is so amazing. The only tracks I don't get into often are title track, Honeymoon, God Knows I Tried, and Religion. Ooolong 4,440
BECAUSE THEY'RE FOOLS. Along with being her most critically acclaimed album, Honeymoon shows artistic maturity. It takes all of the best parts of her previous albums and combines them into a masterpiece. It's a melodramatic, gorgeously melodic, beautifully written and overall an album full of passion. Y'all complain about the lengths and pace of the songs but each and everything just flows into the next so perfectly, unlike her other albums which can sound a bit choppy, imo. Ooolong 4,440
I put it on after seeing this thread and Terrence Loves You has me bald. Wiglet evaporated. The Unbannable Chanteuse
Bling 31,326
The problem I have with Honeymoon is IMO not many of the songs have a high replay value, they're not memorable, and the album is not cohesive. I like High By The Beach, Music To Watch Boys To, Freak, and Art Deco but other than that I haven't listened to any of the other songs more than 3 or 4 times. But we all have our own opinions. teenagechrist 2,853
Honeymoon, Music To Watch Boys To, Terrence Loves You, God Knows I Tried, High By The Beach, and Freak are amazing. The rest of the album is just ok, I don't hate it, they are not bad songs, but it doesn't make me wanna listen to them again. I don't hate or dislike the album, but it's my least favourite album. feeling so hot tamale
Dominic 11,922
Honeymoon is better. I love Old Money and Brooklyn Baby but otherwise UV was just too morbid. More variation on HM and it contains Salvatore so it's an easy win. The hardest thing in this world is to live in it
Lucas 26,688
I recently got into this album and it's not bad. Some songs really feel bland/soulless though, like Honeymoon. But she delivers some amazing vocals on this album (the chorus of Terrence Loves You as an exemple) My fav songs are Music To Watch Boys To, Freak, Terrence Loves You, High By The Beach and Salvatore

Too much of a step down from Ultraviolence? Personally, I love it and honestly can't see why people hate it so much- the only tracks I dislike on it are High By The Beach and 24 (never got into that). The whole album is a journey of beautiful vocals that our ears were too lucky to be graced with, and for me it represents a truly happy time in my life before my depression ever truly developed to what it is today.. I try not to listen to it as much now (or at least until I'm 'cured'- and I'm getting there with that) because I want the beautiful memories I had last summer to remain with it.. unadulterated purity. The whole thing feels like a hazy, nostalgic dream. My Top 3 tracks from Honeymoon: Honourable mention: I once liked Salvatore, but then I started to think that the melody sounds a little too cheesy and predictable
