This is another Red One banger (yes a bit dated in 2017) but the loud parts suit it perfectly. I can't imagine how sexy a video for this would be. @juju (8) This song strikes me as strange in parts, and really segmented. That being said! I love the pre-chorus! It's perhaps my second favorite "moment" on this entire record, it just sounds so amazing, the melody, her bubbly voice, everything! (the funniest story I have of this song: some friends were riding with me in the car and this song came on, and the beginning part with the "RedOne! Nicole!"; one of my friends literally said out-loud "......Who?" and I lowkey think of that moment every time I listen to this song ) @IndieKylie (4) Ugh, I feel like this song really sticks out on this album, but for all the wrong reasons. It's so ridiculous, it'd do well on another album I'm sure, but here it almost cheapens her message? This album has themes about love, abusive relationships, heartbreak. Some songs confront these themes in the typical upbeat, pop ways. But then here, we have a song solely about partying and it just feels out of place? And even as a pure party-pop song, it wasn't made a single and for a reason. It's passable, but not really that great even for the genre? This is a misstep for RedOne at a time when he really couldn't do much wrong, there's some parts of the production that are great, but overall it's just bland. I think this album would have been overall more cohesive and just, better, had this song been left off the track list. If you're going to include this on the album, it needed to be place as track one or two. It's production has the same pace of Poison, without the lyrical tie-in to the rest of the album. I really like this song, this is one example of what should have been on the standard edition instead of Club Banger Nation. This song still 'bumps' and has a nice rift, but it truly fits the themes of the album. The production is on point, as are her vocals. @KING ELIZABITCH (9) Really love both the song and the magnificent video. @juju (7) I love this song a lot, I really do.
