There's nothing wrong with fan-made stuff, it's just not canon.

She co-wrote it +  gave her blessing to everything in it-

unfortunately :neyde:

I still can't believe this :air: she did not co-write it though. She just approved the play. She had nothing to do with that story :air: I refuse to believe it.

:air: I wouldn't mind this one actually. Prequels are way less serious to canonize

After that Dumbledore vs. Grindelwald short film and the Harry Potter Meets Greek Mythology film I'm steering away from anything fan made when it comes to HP.

Good luck to whoever is making this but I refuse to watch it :madge:

JKR wrote the story for TCC with John Tiffany and Jack Thorne, the latter being the guy who wrote the final script for the play,

@Sizzily she already did, two years ago

Panchecco

I read the title of the thread and I was so confused because I saw the trailer like yesterday and it didn't look official at all and the title makes it look like it's from WB or something :rip:

She developped the story. She didn't actually write that amateurish mess I read last summer. Her style is way more beautiful.

From what I remember, she wrote parts of it but didn't want to do it fully on her own since she'd never written for the stage before (similar thing happened with the films), so she teamed up with these two assholes gentlemen and worked the story + edited the script together, with the director (Jack Thorne) ultimately getting the final say.

Can't pull up receipts rn, but she definitely co-signed it and I'll never forgive ha :emma:

Everyone says the actual play is really good, it's just the script that's off. Idk, I like to believe that if that story was written and fleshed out by her, as an actual book, I would actually be able to digest the plot.

I really want to give CC a chance by watching the play.

In book form it was horrid! The story was so nonsensical. It read like fan-fiction (which as I pointed out not a huge fan of :emma:).

EDIT: I really liked the time travelling part though. It felt like I was there in those parts. So jealous of ppl who saw it.

Yes, I loved how they went back in time to scenes we knew. Truth be told, I liked it when I first read it, because it took me back years and years, but now that I can objectively make my opinion of it it was kinda crazy and not in a good way

This is a professionally made movie, but created by fans

Inb4 ARTPOP act II created and released by fans :toofunny:

Did they write the story by themselves or with the help of JK Rowling? Or is it based on something written by Jk Rowling? :oprah:

They wrote it themselves. I don't see the similarity :oprah:
