I couldn't have cared less about Carly Simon a month ago! Until I first heard this Nile Rodgers/Larry Levan thingamajig and was hooked, because it represents the major part of who I am as a person. Forgot to disclose: it's from 1982! Remember 1982? Mua-haaaaaa... A people person? Nah! And yesterday I watched this really poignant documentary on the first ostentatiously out gay rockstar Jobriath and it's a looong, interesting story (just warch it?), but his Svengali lover/promoter apparent discovered Ms. Simons and some other major player I... Do what thou wilt shallth be your future, but bloody hell learn from the lost causes that paved the way for you. In a gentle, loving way, obviously! It's just so fascinating you can still learn about things relevant to the history of your being at the ripe age of 93!
