Gagadaily's fave :poot: Katy.

I found her on Myspace before OOTB came out and she only had a few songs on her profile. I loved Ur So Gay and had it on my profile. :poot:

Bruno- I remember hearing his voice and trying to find more info on him. He didn't even have a Wikipedia page :laughga:

Gaga- I heard JD in the summer of 08 and no one knew of her til 09

Thats all I can think of right now

EDIT:

The Weeknd- Not sure if this one really counts cause a lot of people knew about him before CFMF (at least in the hip hop world). I knew him from House of Balloons/Take Care features

Frank Ocean- Nostalgia, Ultra days

I'm going to be lazy and say:

Gaga, way back in 2008 I heard Just Dance and I was hooked.

Ariana grande, she was on Nick and wasn't that popular for real. (I don't listen to her music though)

There's more but I forgot 😂

Despacito

Basically a lot of edm DJs that later on became trendy and crossed over to pop-ish music (Chainsmokers, David Guetta, Skrillex, etc.)

I was like 10 so I don't remember well but I think that I heard Katy's I Kissed A Girl & Hot N Cold months before they blew up. They were singing it in a local singing competition.

Sia and The Weekend as well.

Gaga. I remember listening to Just Dance and Poker Face. Months later it exploded on the radio. I even went to my local music store to buy The Fame the first edition came out, they had no idea who she was and the CDs were still in the boxes.

Sia, kind of. I think I found about her when I finished watching Six Feet Under. I had to listen to more of her music and did a little research, it was probably in 2009 though. Then Christina Aguilera said she was working with her so I wanted to know more about her and liked her music, bought We Are Born when it came out as well. When I listened to Titanium I couldn't believe she recorded an EDM song, it was so different to what she usually did but I fell in love with it.

Adele and especially Florence and the Machine. I remember exchanging e-mails with a friends and suggesting her to listen to a unknown red haired English singer with a powerful voice. Some time after that "Dog days are over" became quite famous

Madonna: In my previous life I was a waitress at the Café Reductif in New York City. In 1981 Madonna stopped by and ordered a tea bag served on a slice of whole grain bread.

How old are you? :lolly:

None. I'm always late to the party or wasn't born yet. :madge:

Spoiler

But my parents used to go and see Aerosmith when they were playing in peoples garages.

Back in the day, raves were All Ages, so I started raving at 13/14.

Calvin Harris wasn't big at all, nor was Kaskade, Aoki, The list can go on and on.

Raves were almost taboo to talk about up until 2009 when the whole world decided to go EDM and cookie cutter Dance music.

The Weeknd. I don't take credit tho. My sister was a huge fan and he had barely any fans and would like perform at clubs. Love Me Harder and that 50SoG song happened and he blew up really fast.

My older sister saw Gaga at Lollapalooza (the one where she played Summerboy back in 2007 I think). I low key hate her for it :green: but yeah I basically heard about her then.

I also knew about Sia before she got bigger (I think the song was called 'Breathe Me' or something; either way I was kind of obsessed about it). Also Lorde. She was big in the indie scene before making Royals a mainstream hit. The Weeknd and 21 Pilots as well.
