But Gaga debuted when digital sales were at their peak and plenty of fans still buy the album physically.

You sound like the people who discredited vinyls, CDs and digital sales back in the day. Every new medium to play music with people treat like it will mark the end of music, and if they calmed theirselves a bit they still act like it will be the end of the acts who were there before the medium has risen. And then Marilyn Monroe later reborn as Madonna comes out of nowhere, reinvents herself, lerns how to use the new market and everything is fine. Until you have a glass of wine too much and fall into nostalgia.

All of your threads talk about how pop music is **** now and how gaga isn't being properly appreciated. But girl, we already know this and we can't change nothing! The best thing to do is just to chill and stop caring so much about media and charts

The difference between vinyl, 8 tracks, digital sales and CDs are that those forms of music consumption must be paid for. Streaming gave people music for free and will end music eventually.

Yeah there are ways to hack those programs, but getting music for free was available since internet started

But Madonna survived 2 new mediums, so let Gaga at least survive 1. And Cher, well her debut was on the piano next to Mozart and she got her biggest record in the later 90s, and her highest chart position in 2013. So why should Gaga give up right at the first stone thrown in her way?
