Just thought I'd shoot a post directly to you three and to anyone else reading this who shares this idea that you guys seem to have :rip:

It's 100% not fair to associate these terrorists and extremists with the religion they're pretending to represent. It's even less fair to try and hold others of the Muslim faith accountable for these attacks. That's painting 1 billion+ people with a broad and flawed brush. Any idea can be twisted and weaponized and people can be radicalized and misguided into doing something like this. Trying to make Islam out to be the cause will only aggravate the issue further and cause more loss. You've got to be the bigger person and realize that the extremists want you to attack Islam and they want you to alienate Muslims. That makes their job much easier.

At any rate, you're free to criticize religion, as with any other idea or philosophy, but the second it starts getting heated and it's turned into an attack on religious people, we'll step in :/ We have Muslim members here and they're entitled to the same respect as anyone else and we'll defend that even if it means hiding a few posts that we feel could cause an issue.

Now isn't the time for division and this isn't really the place to have this discussion anyway.

Since I woke up I haven't been able to wrap my head around this. I know how important these concerts used to be for me to feel free. Having to face this horrible attack in a environment that's supposed to be hopeful and uplifting is such an unbearable thought. My thoughts go out to everyone affected by this. I also hope people keep in mind that islamist attackers barely follow muslim faith at all and use terror against real muslims just the way they use it against us. Don't let that small group distort your perception

Absolutely shocking news. I feel so sad that 22 innocent people lost their lives in an environment that is meant to be fun and safe. I feel desperately sad for the people of Manchester, and the loved ones of those involved. And I also feel very bad for Ariana, her team and crew.

We live in scary times x

Maybe it's time for all the countries and for their citizen to make some big sacrifices and extreme their security protocols..

You can't just keep letting people enter the train stations, malls and so on without a proper check! you can't even leave those places without a security guards after the working hours.

Yes it can be annoying to be checked every day, yes, you might be in a hurry, but safety first!

I'm just tired of events like this, 20 people only wanted to enjoy and now they are dead.. what a shitty world to live in..

And what about streets, parks, and more? You can't control everyone and everywhere

omfg is this real? is she one of the victims?

I saw tweets from this girls friends supposedly confirming she was one of the fatalities (I'm not sure how true it is) but this tweet makes it so much more heart wrenching if that is the case.

Don't hate humanity. Think of all the people helping those who are injured and the community uniting to speak out against the attack. "People" like the man who orchestrated this attack are such a small percentage of humanity, but unfortunately it makes us see the worst in it and forget the great things many do.
