at the time everyone was pressed the original Lawrence video got scrapped and we had to settle with this, which tbh is flat considering the info that had leaked of the other video but still I now see it from what it is, a simple beautiful video

i don't understand the hate for this video (not saying you hate it OP) personally it reminds me of the streets and buildings of NYC which I can appreciate because I'm always there but also we get GAGA in custom Versace which is never a bad thing! the song itself is one of my favorites of hers and the video is just so magical to me!

The video is better than Judas and Marry the Night :reductive:

I love the video. I'm actually glad the original concept didn't go forward, the song truly shines this way.

Everyone says how personal Gaga is with Joanne and all that, but for me Edge of Glory and this simple, colourful, happy video is actually the most personal I've seen from her. What could define her most than singing a song about her grandfather, inspired by 80's music, with that beautiful sax, dancing around in her street in NYC and wearing custom Versace? It's brilliant. And it really shows how, in the end, we don't need fancy backgrounds and epic stories or mermaids and dancers under the sea, whatever they wanted to do. Lady Gaga is enough.

It wasn't until around two years ago that it kind of hit me how beautiful the video really is.

I mean, it's nothing compared to her other videos, but as @AlexanderMagno said, the simplicity of the video really helped the song shine, rather than drown it out.

I know, farther down the line, I'm gonna appreciate that even more.

3 points in and ready for more

I love it too! It is simple but has this NY musical theater feel to it that really compliments the song :)

Ive always loved this video. It's so beautiful. I feel like people gotta learn to appreciate the little things more often, the song really shines best with a simple video. I'm sure a few years from now people are actually gonna like the MR MV Lol
