Katy Perry (Capitol) 200-225k SPS, 175-200k album
Lady Antebellum (Capitol Nashville) 43-48k, 35-40k
SZA (TDE/RCA) 35-45k, 17-20k

Nice numbers. Tour bundle really ended up helping.

Even if Gaga doesn't release a mv for TC I still hold strongly the belief that Joanne needs a final single to be released in August along with the Tour (not A-Yo at this point but something more fresh from the album) , regardless of how well it will perform. It would help the longevity and the buzz of the album and the Era a lot more during the Tour and TC will be old news in August even if it gets a video and it has a strong rebound(+ it's not a Joanne track). Dancin' In Circles, Angel Down or Joanne would make good choices.

This too. I really hope she gives Joanne (song) a nice simple MV. It will help the album get to platinum RIAA certification in the US.

This era just made no sense

If they wanted a hit why did they premiere it and do nothing with it?

And if they didn't care if it was a hit or not and just wanted a song to hold over everyone while she was filming and preparing for the tour why didnt they just release something off of Joanne instead of creating a very radio friendly song and spending all this money on Spotify

I absolutely agree. Just another dud move from her odd team.

If she were to release an MV the song would literally go top 30 easily. Obviously just for a week since Gaga's youtube power is beyond weak but it would make the peak look a lot better on paper :S

Honestly, I don't understand why she can't have a Cheap Thrills moment... Just a snap of the fingers and its number one. Or even, like, a Redbone one. The song is so absolutely GP adored (I know multiple people, who generally hate her music, that have really enjoyed The Cure. I hear it in stores, in the car, at work, everywhere.) and radio adored- I hear it so damn often on every Top 40 XM channel I have. Quick, somebody in Gaga's promo team needs to create a viral meme centered around the song- Fake twitters to repost and everything.

Even a very high-budget, attention-grabbing, very appealing-to-horny-straights video doesn't really make a hit anymore- @Bone App: The Teeth- As weird as that sounds, memes and social media actually are a much larger part in creating a hit now.

That's how Redbone, a year-old, six-minute long funk song that is super un-GP friendly is about to be Top 10, at least. :toofunny:

Sia did a lot of promo for Cheap Thrills, that is really what made a difference..
but she started the promo 4 months after it's release (it was released in December 2015, it hit off automatically in Australia/Europe and after the promo, it took off in the USA)

she also had 2 versions of the song and 2 music videos to accompany the track.

it really was a massive hit in the end, and i hope Gaga's team sees The Cure's potential.
it's following a similar pattern to Cheap Thrills, being big in the the UK & Aus atm.
