Continue to magnify the fact that I found your assertion offensive. It seems that in addition to straight men, making fun of and misrepresenting another's opinion or feelings validates you as well. Have a nice night, I can only assume your next post will follow the same formula as your previous: English lesson on words as an attempt to clarify your poorly worded comments, comment gay is fine, go on to say labeling people for being gay is fine, say something not offensive, then suggest I'll take offense to it as a way to make your initial comments seem less offensive to others. Bye. While it's obviously hypocritical for you to claim that it's okay for a bisexual woman to talk about gay stereotypes in camp song, but it's "incredibly offensive" for a gay man to talk about gay stereotypes on a pop music forum, I'll let it slide. I'll happily clarify the validation issue, since that is evidently another point of confusion. I never said that gay men should be "grateful" for the validation of a straight man. I said that there is nothing wrong a person occasionally seeking the validation of stranger - in this particular case some gay members of this forum enjoy the validation of a straight guy. There is a difference between healthy and unhealthy validation, I would never advocate for the latter. It seems like you are more offended by what you believe my posts are insinuating rather than what they are actually saying. It's unfortunate that you are so incredibly offended or frustrated to have this conversation end in an amicable way.

It's not like it's going to spoil the experience of it or anything. Yup I agree, or if he wants to interpret the song totally wrong on his own first he could at least google after that and say how his impression of the song changed

Maybe if he knew that TIHTY is about rape surviors then he may have had a stronger reaction to it he should have watched the music video first, then the live performance

I'm not making reaction videos. Reading the wikipedia page of a song would give him background information and take like a couple minutes. But I do think it's a bit dense of him to be that clueless about the song's meaning.
