None. I don't easily stan somebody and not easily jump ship either.

It is somekind of commitment to me. If I think somebody is not good enough, I won't stan for them in the first place.

And there are lots ups and downs in stanning like, like most other relationships in life. But not easily say goodbye is important.

I even still stan some that don't even active in showbiz anymore such as Spice Girls. It runs deep.

I stan Beyonce when Lemonade came out. But I slowly unstanned ha

Because most of the Billboard articles are about her, i dont get it and it makes her overrated at some point

And when Monsters want an article about her Coachella performance, they're like

'Lady Gaga performs at Coachella, plays Beyonce during Telephone part'

But bitch I stan ha again, I regret unstanning ha :music:

I used to stan Katy Perry very hardcore. But then I guess I just grew out of it during the Prism era. Now I can't stand her music at all.

I also used to stan Nicki Minaj a lot. I was so obsessed but I grew out of that aswell.

Now I've been stanning Gaga for almost 2 years now I think and I'm totally obsessed and in love. I really hope I don't grow out of her music because she's the first person I stan who's actually good

Gaga is the only artist I stanned and unstanned :poot: still follow her and discuss things about her, but I'm no longer into watching every interview she gives and every performance live, and if someone is not a fan I don't try to convince them anymore. After ARTPOP, her statements and attitude towards music just stopped convincing me I guess.

Ok I will confess

I used to stan Chris Brown

I guess the reasons why I unstanned are obvious :poot:

I unstanned Hilary Duff back when she used to make music in 2007 :madge:, bitch wasn't that great but had a decent sized fanbase and turned her back on music to make shitty movies :cryga:, I felt betrayed tbh.

More recently, I unstanned Azelia Banks after all her Trump supporting posts. :bye:

I don't really unstan unless they show that their personality is sh.it. Instead I kind of put my stanship on hold and see if they ever pique my interest again.

For example I was hugely into Lana Del Rey after Born To Die - Paradise Edition. Loved every song, she just seemed so ethereal and dream like to me at the time. But Ultraviolence really didn't strike me at all, and Honeymoon I barely liked anything off too. So I decided "well, that's okay. Sometimes artists change, and like friends do sometimes, I guess Lana and I have grown apart. But we'll see what she produces in the future" and low and behold High By The Beach, her soundtrack songs, and the Lust For Life and Love have all blown my socks off, and I might be stanning again when her new album drops!

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

Oh and I supposed I stopped paying attention to Izaelia Banks after I learned her attitude was so despicable, but that was years ago. I couldn't enjoy 212 and her earlier tracks anymore after reading and hearing the crap she says :green:

I was a huge Beyoncé fan up until the 4 era. I unstanned her because she started to feel extremely fake and way too polished and her music just didn't appeal to me anymore.

Also I don't think I'm a Gaga stan anymore. Don't get me wrong, I still love her to death, but I'm just not obsessed with her as much.

In chronological order of when I started un-stanning them:

The Spice Girls (un-stanned around 1999) - They were the first ever musical act I ever stanned for but I out-grew them after their second album. I was only a kid when they started out and even though they still have some songs I still like, I think my taste needed time to get more refined, shall we say. Spiceworld is still an above average album but everything else is average at best hearing it through adult ears. I think, like a lot of kids back then, I just fell into a trend and we all out-grew it at the same time.

Britney Spears (un-stanned around 2002) - My next big obsession. I loved her up until and including In The Zone. That was when I went through my borderline goth phase and got into rock a lot more. A lot of us did that when we became teenagers and we were like: "I can't stand this manufactured pop crap and these teenyboppers who can't sing and don't play instruments." But then, I outgrew that phase and re-stanned just in time for Britney's comeback with Blackout because I started re-invigorating my love for pop again and this was the album that did that. I also enjoyed Circus. But then she put out the just-ok Femme Fatale and I un-stanned again and it was helped when she made her only bad album, Britney Jean. Glory was ok but nothing has pulled me back again and I doubt ever will. But she's the only person who I've ever re-stanned for, so that counts for something.

Christina Aguilera (un-stanned around 2010) - My friend got me into her second album and I started stanning hard. But those long breaks between albums hit me hard. And when she released Bionic after such a long wait, I was more than a bit disappointed with its quality because I was used to great albums after waiting a long time. And as sales show, I was not the only one who thought this way. I contemplated giving her another chance and buying her next album blindly as always but I thought it was best to err on the side of caution and thank God I did as Lotus was her worst ever. I also gave up on her because she became really shady towards Gaga in this time and all her attitude problems that had been legendary for years were brought back up and I realised they were all true and pretty much verified. I just can't continue stanning for someone so arrogant.

Evanescence (un-stanned around 2011) - The first band I picked up on after my post-Britney obsession. My friends and I were crazy for them when they started out, they hold so much nostalgia for me. But then their second album was released and it wasn't as good, but I still had faith in them. Then they took a big break and came back with their third album and at the time, I gave it a great review but years later have no idea what I was thinking as it was ok at best. Gave up on them after that.

Avril Lavigne (un-stanned around 2012) - The first solo artist I picked up on post-Britney obsession and I loved her a lot up until The Best Damn Thing. I bought that album a bit later on but I still enjoyed her music a lot, I just started to get the feeling that I was out-growing it. I bought Goodbye Lullaby, which was a good return to form after so long but I was really hit by the feeling of "I'm over this" after a few months of listening to it. By the time she came out with her next album, I knew I wasn't even going to bother, the first album of hers I never bought. No particular reason why I moved away from her, I just moved on.

There's some artists in between who I bought one album from as well. I'm proud of the fact that I haven't un-stanned anyone else in a while and remained loyal. Gaga now holds the greatest honour for being the one I've stanned for the longest, at 9 years and still stanning and Lana's hovering around the 6 year mark. I feel a little guilty when I outgrow any obsession, especially an artist as this is their career, their bread and butter. But at the end of the day, listening to music is a hobby like any other and we are inclined to grow out of hobbies or certain ways of doing those hobbies.

Lana- every song is pretty much the same

Lana after Born To Die Paradise. Her music sounds the same and I got bored

You're entitled to move on, of course, but I'm always curious when someone says that all Lana's music sounds the same. She changed her sound quite a bit with Ultraviolence, going in for a classic rock edge and with Honeymoon, she brought in some hippy, Eastern and Latin influences. Changing herself with Ultraviolence was deemed as the reason behind why she lost so many sales because a good portion of her fans didn't like her new direction. Listen to Brooklyn Baby, Florida Kilos, 24, Swan Song, etc. and then see if you think all her work has sounded the same since BTD.

I unstanned Katy shortly after Dark Horse mv came out. Her attitude started to annoy me.
