HelloBarbara

It's Britney, Bitch.

(I do think Beyoncé is a bit overrated. She's great artist and I'm not discrediting anything she's done - Lemonade is incredible - but the GP and everyone treat her like she is an actual God. I honestly think she could record herself doing a **** for 50 minutes and she'd get a number 1 album. Don't @ me, Beyhive)

I wish pepsi redid this commercial with the current pop girls

Me too, although Pepsi isn't known for making the best advertising decisions right now.

Beyonce is probably the more successful one, technically.

Britney was huge back in the day, but Beyonce has always sorta been a thing, and in recent years is ****ing everywhere.

Britney sorta faded away.

The weird thing about Beyonce is that aside from Single Ladies, the only thing iconic about her is the fact that she is Beyonce. :laughga: I doubt many people could name any performances or songs (aside form maybe Crazy in Love?), 'outstanding' tour moments etc that other artists have.

And it's not even because they're weak. Beyonce is obviously very talented, consistently gives great peformances... But there's rarely anything memorable about it.

This is all literally off of the top of my head, I s2g I'm not looking this up:

1. Billboard Performance of Run The World

2. VMA Baby Reveal

3. VMA "Beyoncè" Megamix

4. VMA Lemonade Megamix

5. VMA Ring The Alarm

6. Grammys 2017

7. Grammys 2016

8. Grammys Drunk In Love

9. Super Bowl 2013

10. Super Bowl 2016

....and so many more incredible, flawless performances.

And don't even get me started on songs because I, like millions of others, can name many more than just Crazy In Love lmao. You're insane and delusional if you think people don't know more than just Crazy In Love.

Britney had a huge debut/peak but i can't respect her for lipsinging everywhere anymore. I'd prefer if she at least tried to sing live once even she failed. She was so iconic back then. :smh:

On the other hand, Beyonce is a lil overrated but she works too hard and is getting bigger with each era. I respect a hard working person so gotta go with her. I think she won't retire soon too so that will give her even more legend status.

Flawless but not at all iconic

That's your opinion. I don't believe Britney's Slave 4 U performance to be iconic but for some reason others do.

In my opinion, Beyonce performing Formation at the Halftime show is FAR more iconic than anything Britney has ever done.

I would say overall, Beyonce. Britney's impact was undeniable and while she has more timeless hits, there is no denying that they are the same age yet one is considered old and dated to the general public and the other can announce a tour without an album and it can go on and be the most successful tour of the year.

Like seriously people have been talking as if Beyonce has been much longer and more consistent than Britney is such a bullshit. First of all, lets cut Destiny's Child out of the picture. I dont think we should take Destiny's Child + Beyonce discography and compare it with other singers as much as I dont think we should compare Michael Jackson + The Jackson 5 and compare it with other singers. Destiny's Child is Destiny's Child and Beyonce is Beyonce. Its a totally different discography. Now let us make the comparison of Britney VS Beyonce. Beyonce so far has 6 studio albums, and therefore I believe in comparison we should compare Britney Spears first 6 studio albums vs Beyonce first 6 studio albums. Lets look at Beyonce most succesfull album Dangerously in Love. It sold 10 million records worldwide, in comparison Britney Spears 3rd studio album "Britney", which was released just 1 year before Beyonce's debut album sold 10 million copies worldwide. However I remember everybody saying that when the "Britney" album came out everybody said it was such a flopped. It was because her 2 previous albums was selling 20 million plus album and was so huge, that it looks like selling 10 million albums is a flop, when actually 10 million albums is a huge achievement. So basically, Beyonce's biggest selling album is only worthy of Britney at her flop.

Bigger peak = Britney wins by a long shot

Now lets look at consistency. Beyonce 6th studio album "lemonade" sold 2.5 million worldwide. When Britney's 6th studio album "Circus" was released, her album sold 3.8 million units. Beyonce sold 6.9 million digital singles with her "Leomanade" album. Britney Spears sold 18.7 million digital singles with "Circus". So Britney Spears 6th studio album is actually more succesful than Beyonce's 6th studio album. Dont tell me Beyonce's 7th studio album is going to be way2 better than Femme Fatalle. Because Beyonce's album sales has been declining for years. Album after album. Femme Fatalle sold 1.6 million albums worldwide. I doubted Beyonce's next studio album would sell much2 more than that.

Longetivity = Britney Spears

Last but not least. Beyonce is a major regional player (US, Canada and shes pretty big in Latin America), shes a minor player globally. Her sales in Europe is pathetic, bar the UK. Britney was huge in France, Germany, Spain, Belgium, etc. Beyonce only has one album that managed to sell 250,000 or albums in big markets such as Germany and France which is "Dangerously in Love". Other than that her albums never sold more than 250,000 in both of these country. Britney Spears "In The Zone" released a year after "Danherously in Love" managed to sell over 250,000 in France and Germany. "Britney" managed to sell more than 300,000 in Germany and 400,000 in France. Even Rihanna has better sales than Beyonce in Europe bar the UK. Bare in mind that I only took Britney figures from "In The Zone" and "Britney". If I were to take her figures from "Baby One More Time" and "Oops I Did It Again" those 2 albums alone would be sufficient to cover her sales for the entire Beyonce's sales in Europe. Lets look at other market. Japan? Its not even a contest. Beyonce's sales in Japan is downright pathetic and nowhere near Britney. The wider asian market? Shes literally not really well known in Asia (Im Asian). Britney on the other hand was freaking huge in Asia. Shes the best selling female foreign artist in the Phillipines and one of the top selling female foreign artist in Indonesia. Beyonce is big in Latin America, no doubt, but so is Britney at her prime. Latin America is a place where this 2 would be in a draw.

Global Power = Britney

Atm Beyonce, but everyone seems to be forgetting how she flopped into Oblivia with 4 :emma:

I'd love Gaga to flop like Beyoncé during 4 to come back stronger than ever with Self-titled/Formation :nails:

Well the answer is obvious isn't it?

Which person that still touring the world each year, performed at The Superbowl  three times, having an empire, collecting Grammys, and had people buzzing on social media and the neighborhood alike when she drop an album or gotten pregnant or anything really? :sis:

Britney is great and certainly left her mark in showbiz, but these days you can't compare her to Yonce.  If all of us can be honest, Britney these days are more like nostalgia act to many people.

Also, this thread can't come at the right time as I am listening to Ooops! album as I am typing this. :giggle:

Britney's first 3 albums remains her best, classics!

One can sing.

One can't.

The question is about who is more successful. Not who is more talented. You are running away from the topic. Totally unrelated.

Denying Beyonce being super successful are delusional on your part. Especially when Bey still keep going building her legacy still today. While Britney just running in circle.

I deem that a success; being able to perform without lip syncing after 20 years and earning critical acclaim for her performances.

 Why you so mad? :laughga:
