Beyonce - more successful at the moment, has stayed consistent throughout the majority of her career

Britney - had a once-in-a-lifetime level peak, and continues to succeed off of that, even if it's not as much as before.

In US; Beyonce seems to be a little bit more succesfu.Media created a Queen, brand of Beyonce.but people who are +22 would know Britney is the queen of late 90s and 00's.Beyonce is succesfull but not as much as Brit.

Worldwide; As much as i see people don't care about Beyonce's queen status, they see-love her artistry, she's just a singer, people listen only if she drop a hit,but they still remember-see Britney as white princess, toxic girl, hit me baby one more time. She's undoubtfully a lot more succesful than Beyonce.I mean iconic.

The weird thing about Beyonce is that aside from Single Ladies, the only thing iconic about her is the fact that she is Beyonce. :laughga:

This is true tho. Beyoncé is just Queen by herself.

For 2011 it was a flop. Comparing it to albums that did worse doesn't make it more of a success. Let's compare BTW to 21 or 25 and we get a flop, don't we?

So being the 21st best selling album of 2011 is being a flop in the US. It wasn't a huge success but it definitely wasn't a flop.

Britney created more iconic moments in the history of pop culture (both great and embarassing ones), but there is no doubt that Beyonce has managed to remain a bigger star after all these years.

Even Britney herself would acknowledge that :awkney:

To be fair, Femme Fatale, also went Platinum, with a first weeks sale 276,000 making it debut at #1. And Femme Fatale, unlike 4, spawned two Top 10 singles. Both Glory and Britney Jean flopped.

Femme Fatale was the 31st best selling album of 2011 and 4 was number 21. Also Femme Fatale has sold over 800,000 copies and 4 sold 1.5M :trollga: But anyways I'm not saying Britney is not icon or trying to disrespect her, I just think Beyoncé was overall more succesful.

I think that Beyoncé was more succesful overall. In my opinion, she almost reached 'legend' status whereas Britney is more considered just like a pop icon

This, people who say Britney are obviously biased. I even prefer Britney's music, but Bey has the bigger career at this point.

If you call 4 a flop then you're almost calling the iconic BTW a flop. Without the 440,000 copies it sold because of the $0.99 Amazon discount it would have sold over 1.9M copies so far, which is only 400,000 copies more than 4. And evidently, BTW was far from being a flop. But anyway don't worry, Beyoncé will still be more iconic and influential than Britney after all:hug:

I stan Bey tho, so I'm not a hater. But 4 flopped. And about btw's amazon deal: pretty sure that at least half of those people would've still bought the album, because the album selling after that just further proves it. 4 flopped and it's ok, she found success after it.

Britney started big with her first two albums and was at her peak with Toxic. She has sold an insane amount of records and became a cultural icon, thanks to that she also had a lot of success in the 2000's with Womanizer and Femme Fatale but right now Beyoncé is the one that is getting more recognition. Beyoncé started her solo career with a lot of success but she has become a brand and her latest two albums have gotten universal acclaim.

Two completely different artists by the way but I get it, they both started around the same time but are doing things very different.

Trust me I am not putting them against each other. I am not asking who is more talented.

But we all know who is more talented :ladyhaha:

No shade but 4 wasn't a flop. It sold 1.5M copies in the US and went #1 with 311,000 copies in its first week. That's not a flop if you compare it with Glory, Britney Jean and even Femme Fatale.

Yeah but Femme Fatale actually had a #1 single and 2 top 10 singles.

Yes but as I said before 4 sold 1.5M copies and Femme Fatale only 800,000 copies  But anyway, Femme Fatale and 4 were both great albums imo so let's just forget about this.
