They are currently develloping missile technology in order to reach Europe and the mainland US We have yet to find out wether this was indeed a successful ICBM test. Tbh this is really freaking me out, the world is becoming a scary place. Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be kind. Always. They're not just gonna chuck a bomb as soon as they have one that works. The intention of NK is to put themselves in a position where they have negotiating power like the other countries do, nobody has to listen to NK right now because they can't do anytning, but if they have nuclear deterrent other countries are more inclined to pay attention to their requests, even if there's no intention to fire the missile. Kim's rhetoric is to keep his citizens in check, not the rest of the world. However it is still very important intervention takes place to disarm them before they're armed, it's just not the WW3 event people are thinking it might be.
