And I heard ASIB won't be released until late 2018. And this is where I have a question. So movies take about a year and a half or so to film and edit and than they come out shortly after they are finished being edited. So Gaga has been working on ASIB for about what 4 or 5 months? (I don't know the exact amount of time she has been working on this film, but that's what I assume) With that being said, ASIB should be released in early 2018. So why can't the movie just be released in early 2018 instead of late 2018? Because filming only takes about a year or so right? Anyway, I just feel like having ASIB be released in late 2018 is too long considering it could just be released in the spring of next year, since it would hopefully only take a year? So why is it being released so far away from now if it only takes about a year to film and finish a movie??? P.S. I just really want this movie to come out ASAP and I am curious on how long the filming for the movie will be going on. (I assume the next 8 months or so) Get Applause & G.U.Y to 1B views! (I assume the next 8 months or so) because they have to edit it and string it together. editing is the hardest, longest process i'm pretty sure. it's not just about filming. i doubt they'll be filming any gaga parts when her tour is going to be starting like you think. her tour is coming up in 3 months and that will go on for 4 months Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
That J 12,166 Posted May 13, 2017 Share Posted May 13, 2017 It's supposed to come out Sept 2018. It takes time because it's actual work filming a movie. Filming usually takes 2months or so. After that, there's editing, adding a score, transferring, studio views, re-editing, sometimes additional shots need to be filmed, etc etc. Its a long process thats very detailed. Plus you have to study the market. When's the best date for this movie? So they settle a date and work hard to make it. Sept 2018 is a very fair and reasonable release date. I was on set two days and the scene they were filming took place in a guitar/music store. I was walking out of the store and around the building out of frame. The scene took up about 7 minutes (if that) in the actual movie. There's TONS of waiting around because everything has to be set up perfectly. After being there at 8am and out of wardrobe at 830, we didn't gather at the scene until 12:45, did a rehearsal, then filmed it 6 times, left at 530 and did it all over again the next day. Lol. So it's THAT slow. Every movie I've been part of is like that. So it's not fast paced at all. You wait more than you film. That's part of what takes so long. Dorothy Gale 7,575 Posted May 13, 2017 Share Posted May 13, 2017 Editing will take a few months I believe, and then they have to choose a time when Bradley Cooper and Gaga can both market the film, so yeah, releasing in early 2018 would lead to a lot of rushing.
