We focus on the girls too much for flopping and not performing well, so I just wanted to bring to light Jason Derulo's performance in the US.

This isn't to bash, it's to present facts.

(just as a forward this is about singles, Jason has NEVER been able to sell albums)

Jason Derulo released his first album in 2009, Jason Derulo.

The album had 3 top 10 hits

"Whatcha Say": #1

"In My Head": #5

"Ridin' Solo": #9

His singles were quite popular in 2009/2010

His second album Future History was released in 2011

This album underperformed from his last one, none of his singles went Top 10.

Dont Wanna Go Home: #14

It Girl: #17

Fight For You: #83

Undefeated: #90

His third album Talk Dirty (released in 2014) started out much the same like the prior album

The Other Side: #18

Marry Me: #26

But then the song "Talk Dirty" went big and changed the success of the album

Talk Dirty: #3

Wiggle: #5

Trumpets: #14

His fourth album Everything is 4, which was released in 2015, really started off well.

His lead single "Want You to Want Me" peaked at #5

But then everything started to fall apart.

The following two singles from the album performed as follows:

Cheyenne (2015)
1st Week: #90
2nd Week: #80
3rd Week: #66 - PEAK POSITION
4th Week: #73
5th Week: #78
6th Week: #81
7th Week: #95
(knocked out)

Get Ugly (2016)
1st Week: #100
2nd Week: #70
3rd Week: #66
4th Week: #62
5th Week: #54
6th Week: #52 - PEAK POSITION
7th Week: #56
8th Week: #56
9th Week: #58
10th Week: #65
11th Week: #77
12th Week: #97
(knocked out)

His next single to be released was supposed to be the lead to his next album

The song is called "If It Ain't Love"

But probably because of its poor performance the album was put on hold

If It Ain't Love (2016)
1st Week: #94
2nd Week: #84
3rd Week: #87
4th Week: #87
5th Week: #67 - PEAK POSITION
6th Week: #72
7th Week: #76
8th Week: #84
(knocked out)

And then instead of releasing an new album, he released a greatest hits album.

The album had a new single called "Kiss the Sky" and didn't even chart.

So now we're on the lead single of his upcoming 5th album

The single is star-studded with both Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign on the track

For a moment it looked like the song could go somewhere, but now it has stalled and its really not going to climb much higher, if at all. Its been on sale (meaning 69 cents) for about a month on iTunes and currently sits at #35 on iTunes. Radio gains have slowed down.

Swalla (2017)
1st Week: #98
2nd Week: #65
3rd Week: #52
4th Week: #42
5th Week: #53
6th Week: #46
7th Week: #46 (still charting)

So for having released a handful of singles since his last Top 10, 2 years ago, it seems like Jason is losing it in the US.

I detest of him in every conceivable manner. :awkney:

(lowkey think Swalla is a bop though)

I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.
