In fact even the visuals of the lead single NMT were heavily criticized for copying our very own miss Gaga. I was actually referencing the fact that Xtina herself said the album was ahead of its time to justify the fact that it flopped. Hence the joke. Harry is following the music he loves, rock from decades ago, nothing to do with Gaga's album. He's taking flack for his songs being too similar to famous acts from long ago. You're reaching. It's all been done before by various artists in various genres, but I guess the one thing you could call "ahead of its time" was the audacity to put all those musical concepts on one album. She may have started a trend for current pop artists of stripping down their sound, but let's not pretend that Joanne was groundbreaking in the world of music. I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.
