John Kasich (R) will meet for a town hall debate on CNN next week, the network announced Wednesday. Sanders and Kasich both ran for president last year, lasting deep into their respective primaries before bowing out. Sanders has emerged this year as an anti-President Trump firebrand in Washington and key player in Democratic campaigns. And Kasich has offered regular criticism of Trump, a fellow Republican. "Less than two weeks after House Republicans narrowly passed a bill to repeal and replace Obamacare, and with tax reform a top priority for President Trump, Pelosi and then Sanders and Kasich will discuss and debate these and other issues before live studio audiences,” CNN said in a press release. The Sanders-Kasich debate will take place May 16 and be hosted by CNN anchor Jake Tapper and chief political correspondent Dana Bash. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

The electorate (which I'll remind u up until a few months ago didn't know the ACA and Obamacare were the same thing) needs to be educated somehow. I watched Bernie debate Ted and that was a good exciting way educate the voters on the ACA. I saw a comment from him last week about how there wasn't enough funding to cover the people in his state. He is one of the few Republicans who has completely out against it. I honestly don't see the correlation to 'education on issues' and these Town Hall specials specifically. Information is available all over the place, I doubt those too ignorant to seek information will be tuning into a Town Hall special...
