Whispering 18,865
No one I'm around discusses pop artists in this type of way, tbh. They might mention songs they like or concerts they saw that are coming up...might mention someone that's going to be at a music festival or that they saw on SNL. My group is busy with work, homes, life, so unless it is something like the Kanye breakdown, they don't pay attention to much. I mean, they know that Bey is pregnant with twins...they thought Gaga was amazing at the SuperBowl...stuff like that.
M I M I Z 946
First of all, no one knows that I listen to Gaga and if someone insulted Gaga in front of me I would not say anything cause I'm not emotionally connected to Gaga and that's the difference between me and a lot of the fans here. Gaga to me is just an artist that I like to listen to and that's it.
CautiousLurker 19,284
No, I'm not 12... People like different things and that's fine... Getting offended over someone not sharing your taste in music is ridiculous, and a waste of energy... It's a joke! When you give me that look, it's a joke! Dorothy Gale 7,575
Yeah, I've been a Gaga fan since day one, and became a huge stan during the Born This Way era, so I don't tolerate nonsense from people. I even correct acquaintances.
Luxe Ford 3,481
I used to be slightly upset when people didn't realise she can actually s i n g, but nowadays they seem to know. Then there was that time when an ex collegue asked me if I knew she was a man. And when I firmly corrected her she said "well she doesn't write her own music". But she's a bona fide sociopath so I can't take her seriously. I heard she fell recently and broke her cheekbone. I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH IT! Lord Temptation 11,209
People who bag out Gaga don't know sh*t about good music, and I love reminding them of that fact. Those who still say that Lady Gaga is superficial are usually the most superficial people. It's like they haven't even bothered delving into the truth behind the image and persona. Luckily almost everyone I know who used to hate or misunderstand Gaga now understands how talented and creative she is. I think the Super Bowl, and in particular Million Reasons and Joanne, did a lot to change people's perceptions of her.
Kermit 15,807
Translation; Do you get offended when someone shares a personal opinion about someone who likely doesn't know of your existence? Answer; no. This is something a lot of artists' fans fail to realize. “For me, insanity is super sanity. The normal is psychotic. Normal means lack of imagination, lack of creativity.” ― Jean Dubuffet
JHS 4,714
Once three years ago one of my 'friends' told me 'how do you even like Lady Gaga. She's ****' I didn't tell him anything because I realized he was another basic boy that only liked playing videogames and didn't have music taste. RAMROD 109,386
If they are being serious with it, yes. I'll just quietly ostracized them from future events that I hold, they'll never get invited anymore. If they are throwing a banter, I'll throw one back, it's only fair

InsideOutright 1,118
Depends. When I see a Facebook friend, who had never publicly expressed an opinion on Gaga before, make a rude comment about her, or "like" a post of that nature from someone else, it does make me feel sad. But my best friend insults Gaga all the time just to make me angry. I know he's just messing, though.
