ARTPOP has an excuse to be messy because it's also about psychedelia but Joanne needs to be more cohesive

I think The Cure could tie into Joanne if it ends up being the most commercial song on the (possible) EP or re-release. That being said, The Cure may not sound like most of Joanne, but it does follow the same lyrical content and themes. It could also be viewed as a more pop-driven extension of the more personal themes included on Joanne? What I'm trying to get at (but having trouble expressing) is that the two don't necessarily need to be sonically linked, but can be linked thematically.

What makes Joanne extremely special for me is the sonic cohesiveness, even vastly different songs like DiC, JW or JAD all share the same power vocals and the country-folk vibe so

Omg The Cure sounds so different from Joanne. It'd be awful if they stuck it to it like that

When Gaga has a song about masturbating herself with a tropical vibe on an album in the name of ha dead aunt i don't care the cure can fit there. it would be the teeth of TFM

Don't worry, I agree. I much prefer what we were given on Joanne to The Cure and I really wouldn't want an album or EP centered around The Cure's sound, regardless as to whether it was a standalone album or EP tied to Joanne.

However, as I love Joanne, I'll take an EP if The Cure is the only commercial-pop song on it.

The one thing I don't like about Joanne is the mix of different genres.. there's country, soft rock, more acoustic sounds and now (allegedly) EDM. I hope this release is an EP with more current sounding tracks like "The Cure", and for the second single not to be "Trillion Reasons".

The Cure has nothing to do with Joanne.

I'd just really like a solid answer from Gaga. "Is The Cure from a new EP/album, or is it a standalone?" Like can a music journalist pleeassseeee ask her something like that so we can move on? Cause the way she phrased it at Coachella made it sound like an official song from SOMETHING at least. Maybe I'm reading too much into it but "Here's my new single," is different than "Here's my new song." Also she has to know tons of fans are always foaming at the mouth for new stuff. I just hate the secrecy; if it's a standalone, say so.
