This is really hard! The Joanne album has loads of amazing lyrics!

So many of the songs have stunningly beautiful lyrics and melodies.

Even some of the less serious songs have very clever lyrics (A-Yo, DIC).

I went with title track Joanne though. This was very difficult, but that one is the most emotionally jarring for me, both lyrically and melodically.

The whole album has topnotch songwriting in my opinion.

But if I have to choose then the title track has my vote. It's so beautiful and heartbreaking.

Joanne is so, so beautiful. This is A MOMENT:

Where do you think you're goin'
Goin', girl?

Honestly, I know where you're goin'-

Oh, Gaga.

Everybody's got to love each other
Stop throwing stones at your sisters and your brothers
Man it wasn't that long ago we were all living in the jungle
So why do we gotta put each other down when there's more than enough love to g-g-go round

Dude in a lab coat and a man of God (come on to mama!)
Fought over prisms and a forty-day flood
Well I say rainbows did more than they've ever done
So why do we gotta fight over ideas, we're talkin' the same old sh*t after all these years

Why do we gotta tell each other how to live?
The only prisons that exist are ones we put each other in
Why do we gotta tell each other how to live?
Look what that rainbow did!

What makes Joanne her best album is the lyrics, tbh. That's what sets it over the edge for me from BTW

But we are not just art for Michelangelo to carve he can't rewrite the aggro of my furied heart >>>all of Joanners on its own. And regarding personal songs, while I agree that GG is a very personal track, the line I could be your girl girl girl, girl girl girl but would you love me if I ruled the world world world >>>>>> all of Joanners (again)

Sinner's Prayer. It's a riveting deep story. Come to Mama, Joanne and Diamond Heart are next.
