junolxf 8,654
I saw this on another forum () and I wanna know GGD's opinion. "Joanne is very underrated as a whole I believe but one of my favorite parts of the album is Gaga's songwriting. We get lots of raw, relatable, and personal songwriting from her on this album. I do think we see a side of her that we hadn't seen in the past. She's always been a great writer but she really told some stories on Joanne." I love Joanne so much. It's my favorite album from Gaga after TFM and BTW; a perfect Holy Trinity. "Just Another Day" is just so beautiful: But today I won't be so hard on meI'll walk alone down a different street And smile at all the new strange I meet And pick up unique style, I'll kick around today And create simple thoughts, I'll laugh in humble ways We both know I could learn a thing or two About behaving, but I love you And after all, it's just another day. So, which song is your favorite in terms of Gaga's songwriting? "Seems to be trendy lately to talk sh*t about 'Lady Gaga' when your albums/singles drop." - Leviticus 20:

yes and 4,884
Sinner's Prayer is the one of the best songs from Joanne, it gives me old Madonna vibes, I love it Did you think I'd show up in a limousine? No
Squeeshy Keety 9,908
What makes Joanne her best album is the lyrics, tbh. That's what sets it over the edge for me from BTW The title track is so beautiful, relatable, and impactful (my favorite lyrics ever), and GG is so so so personal They / Them 🏳️🌈

Kermit 15,807
Sinner's Prayer hands down. Just Another Day (the layout and feel I don't necessarily take a like to, but) could take second cake. Contrary to popular reception, I probably find Perfect Illusion one of her best songs, lyrically. The lyrics are straight to the point and equally effective. Many call it generic, but I call it a hell of an emotion in the form of one track. You can even hear it in her voice. It charges my adrenaline every time. “For me, insanity is super sanity. Lextyr97 19,906
I voted Diamond Heart, but I think they're all great. Joanne (song), also really hits home because it doesnt try to be so intricate with it's lyrics. It's very explicit/to the point and that's the glory of why the song is well written imo. It's not hidden behind a bunch of metaphors.
