Tbh this reminds me of the end of the ARTPOP era with the beginning of the Cheek to Cheek era.

We are in a transition into the "blank" era.

It depends when you count the era as over really... I wouldn't expect anymore singles but we still have the tour to look forward to.

No. The Cure is a standalone single that likely just acts as a breather for the JOANNE era. Not to mention, there's a JOANNE World Tour yet to take place.

I don't think there'll be a 3rd single from Joanne.. it'll be the tour and that's it.

I was just thinking about it today, and The Cure could really solidify her radio numbers, which could pave the way for something out of trend from Joanne to succeed.

I think the tour will have a completely different aesthetic to the album, similar to Coachella. Already the promo image isn't really like the visuals from the rest of the Joanne era.

I think Gaga's reaching a point in her career where her albums don't have as much cultural impact, but she's been in the game long enough that her tours are much more popular (Kinda like Madonna). I think the effect of this will be the future tours (starting with JWT) will be not linked to the album as much as previous tours, but rather will serve as their own entity, only using the album to launch it.

aaaaaaanyway, yes, I think the Joanne as we know it is over.

Rihanna released TIWYCF during the Anti era, and it was just a standalone single, so yes we're still in the Joanne era.

But that's Calvin Harris' song, she was just a featured artist.

I think The Cure is just a standalone single for streaming purposes and just a "break" from Million Reasons and the Joanne album but the "era" is still going on because the Tour hasn't even started yet. I don't know if she's going to release another single and I wouldn't mind if she doesn't, she's been busy filming and has done a LOT of stuff this year so lets just wait and see what she decides.

Edit: To be honest, I'd love to see A-Yo released as a single, it deserves it, I've been listening to it a lot these days.

Not really. Even that hat got iconic... like WHAT?

Yeah her singles are not exactly smashing hits but the force is strong with her.:emma:
