Hip Hop of today has been turned into an oversexualized mostly male dominated genre. It's not inspirational. It's not artistic. Now if she wanted to use some underground hip hop artist that actually have something to say, then more power to her. And please don't bring race into this. She brought herself Into what has become a cheap hip hop culture, and realized she wasnt about that anymore. She is setting standards for her art. He is the most successful rapper period, so it's worth including him in the discussion of whether rap music is all about gangs and bitches and all that.
