jxckk 959
She was going through depression etc during the october/november period when her dress sense got crazy again compared to the tame futuristic looks of september and we know her clothing reflects how she feels at times. That was probably why she ditched the more mature looks. The very first promo picture we got for ARTPOP was sleek, simple but still unique. It made me think ARTPOP was going to reflect the photo which it didn't. Below are photos a month apart for example, her major switch up in fashion. Also this wasn't the original concept, the original concept we heard about in September 2012 was more of a twisted disney princess inspired feel. The songs back then were the likes of Burqa (which I think was later turned into Aura), Princess Die, TEA & Onion Girl. She also did vocals over Zedd's "Stache" which kinda hinted at the direction she was heading back then. The ARTPOP album we got wasn't even the album that she had originally thought up of the year before. I feel her label got majorly involved after her hip injury and she re-recorded/produced/added new songs that were more pop sounding compared to the experimental electronic of the original. Her label probably didn't like the original theme which led to her changing it. If we had got the original album we wouldn't of got half of the "newer version". To this day I'm still unsure what the theme of ARTPOP is, throughout the era she changed it "bringing art to the forefront", reverse warholian experience, creative rebellion and then she kinda said it was more about putting her rage into the music.
