Because during its first week run, it was #1 for most of it on iTunes whereas second week it was circling around 30 - 40 on iTunes.

It should be improving next week with better radio audience, better streaming, and consistent sales (a bit).

In the future, you should reference the Charts Thread, as this information is discussed there. To answer your question, the Billboard Hot 100 calculates its charts through Radio AI, Hard Sales, and Streaming. Hard Sales dropped in its second week and the increases in Radio AI and Streaming were not rapid enough to offset the decrease in sales. It is expected to begin climbing again as Hard Sales have stabilized/steadily increased and Radio AI and Streaming are continuing to grow.

Hope that helps and remember, in the future just go to the Charts Thread! We can help you there. :lolly:

It's normal for a song by a well-known artist to drop like that.

Week one is always strong because of a fan-base, but the week two to week x is when a song starts to gain momentum with the GP.

This is how the chart works. First week is high, second week drops and then it climbs.

On the plus side, The Cure is gaining spots on Spotify's global Top 50 charts everyday. Granted it's only going up a spot or two a day, but it's still doing good on Spotify streams with almost no promotion!

Because all the fans bought in on the first week and the sales went down, not that hard to understand. It'll rise next week

It's obviously the sales fall. It raised on both streaming and radio

You have to be aware that the BB use three metrics for the song. Streaming, Sales and Airplay. It was #1 for 4.5 days and then dropped to 30-40 in the second weeks. It is expected to increase minimally in third week. So hopefully, in few weeks, it will rise more and more!

Lion Heart

The song was in the 40s and 50s on iTunes last week :rip:

Thankfully it has improved.
