she's actually kind of genius tbh...she didn't release it on all platforms at once, so those who buy only vinyls were forced to stream it or buy it on itunes at the time and now they will buy it on vinyl too

well her management is GENIUS...

and that price for a picture book is a wee bit too high, even though it's exclusive and collectors or whatever.

Spoiler

i don't want to start a whole anti-bey thing here but i want this said:  Beyonce herself isn't an impressive artist.

While her management is GENIUS with marketing (either by having no promo, or creating a jay z cheating scandal) and also the whole thing with visual albums...  i highly doubt beyonce is the artistic mastermind behind those..

Also, she doesn't write her own music and has like 6 writers for every song of hers and even then "borrows" music from other artists.

Because of her incredible status, as a result of incredible marketing and having an advantage from fame before she started a solo career, she also has 'perfection' attached to her name and people can genuinely walk around saying "i like this album because... it's a beyonce" like LOL just "because its beyonce" doesn't make it immediately flawless. (pun not intended) (lemonade is flawless, but in general critics are always over the top with whatever it is she does)

she only empowers black females which is an outstanding and a brave stance to take, but why not take it a step further like gaga does and discuss gay rights too? is it her being scared she will be bashed for it? gay rights are undeniably a more controversial topic.

And finally, (i dont want to make this too long (it already is i know lol)so im ending this here) she lip syncs. this shows weak performance ability, don't fight me on this one. her vocals are OUTSTANDING ( she can mainly only sing rnb/pop and isnt as versatile as gaga but she sings it perfectly but she lip syncs and doesn't even have very advanced choreography...

ANYWAYS. I don't want to be pitting two iconic artists against each other, but this is something I've wanted said for a long time.

I'm up for discussion, but let's stay mature if we do so.

Spoiler

serious q: has bey had a single large hit outside of the US, UK, or Australia aside from Single Ladies) serious question.. lol

be kind guys

Wish Gaga did the same thing with Joanne and made her vinyl pink.

I can't believe I bought this set, it's expensive AF for what it includes. Damn I was so crazy about her merch back in the day. :air: It was a Christmas present from my parents but now that I look at it, it makes me feel like a spoiled kid. :sharon:

Welp you kinda make me feel glad I didn't buy it :air: But I had everything from TFM except for that, it looks so cool! I still want it tbh. If you don't like it anymore I'll gladly accept it :poot:

actually the one critique you made that's kind of offensive is the black women comment. She inspires more than just black women, plenty of black gays look up to her more than they do gaga (even the formation video has an effeminate man doing the voice over) and in the All Night video there are multiple gay couples. I think it's kind of short sited to criticize someone for not touching on every single social issue they can. Gaga in fact was criticized for complaining about a Joanne review by shielding herself behind her Trayvon Martin tributes. Moreover Gaga got slack for politicizing the Pulse events. However when it came to the superbowl she was political but for who? just the gays. Why couldn't Gaga have been more political for people besides just singing Born This Way?

I bought the deluxe edition of eBay a couple of years ago, don't judge me :cryga:

Do you mean the regular deluxe CD or that super deluxe boxset? Cause I've seen the latter go for $300 sealed and $200 in good conditions, to think it originally cost like $60 when it came out...

Gaga's management is just as genius if you wanna go by these standards.

For Born This Way Gaga basically made a profit off championing the disenfranchised.

Lady-Gaga-Immigrant-Chrome.jpg

So now that it's 2017 and immigration is more important than ever why do you think Gaga didn't bring THIS to the superbowl? Any criticism you have for beyonce could be changed to criticize Gaga but so many of you never do that

I love them both, but let's not act like Gaga's overall career hasn't been more political than Bey's. giphy.gif
