Gia Gunn 7,265
I can't with yall mentioning The Queen when it's a top 3 song and shouldn't have been reduced to a deluxe track along with Fashion Of His Flop and Black Jesus Amen Fashion (which is cool but in no way standard edition material)
PatrickMonster 6,401
lol bonus tracks are NOT fillers... its for the biggest fans who want a couple more songs to listen from that specific era/album... they are obviously have lower quality or less single-worthy, but they are bonus tracks for a reason. I dont get when people come for albums with a lot of tracks they should be happy that they can listen more tracks and have a chance to get more songs they can love for all eternity... just stop

And I'm well aware that my comments are my own opinions lol. Some fillers are better than others. Some songs are better than others. Just because BTW is worshipped doesn't mean it's free of filler, and it's fillers aren't even that good. So be damned because I think ILIR BBB and SB are better than anything on BTW I kinda think "fillers" also come down to how the artist feels about the song If the song was never performed and basically paid dust, then maybe it was a filler. But if the song is a fan favorite, and the artists plays it frequently, then it's not a filler really since a filler is just a throwaway placeholder on the album. By this logic, teeth isn't a filler bc Gaga loves that song and performs it to this day

Every bonus track (I mean she even said JAD was made a week before the record came out or something) DiC feels filler as does Hey Girl really even though I love Hey Girl. I think DiC was just fan service, Hey Girl was because she needed a collaborator (if she really was gonna do a song about uplifting women she would put in one of her competitors who she was pitted against like Katy or Madonna) JAD was just added in for some reason i can't remember why, A-yo feels filler too because they made it just for a random hit on the album (proved by the BTS making of video) even though it wouldn't ever be one. Grigio Girls is beautiful and one of my faves but it wasn't needed on the album. The tracklist without fillers would easily be; Diamond Heart Joanne John Wayne Perfect Illusion Million Reasons Come to Mama Sinner's Prayer Angel Down
Alexanderr 80
Songs I consider as fillers: Jewels N' Drugs, Fashion, Angel Down (Work Tape) and A-YO. -xo
Anderson123 38,205
There's a big difference between "Filler tracks" and "Songs I don't like". Some people here are just making a list of songs they don't like and calling them filler tracks just because.
Lord Temptation 11,209
To me a filler can only be defined relative to the rest of the songs on the album. Thus, a song X is a filler on album Y if and only if X sounds like a shittier version of a better song on Y. A filler track is like having an extra thumb on one of your hands. Or a chapter in a story where nothing new happens that hasn't already occurred. More of the same. Based on this criteria, none of the songs on Born This way can be classified as filler. They all say something different or sound different, but altogether as a whole reflect the album's themes of identity, loving your darkness instead of running away from it, sexual freedom and belonging. EDIT: Listening to BTW right now.

Doot 2
I think its more the songs that just feel like album tracks. They may fit the theme of the album, but they don't necessarily stand out as exceptional tracks or single worthy. Fans have to separate their favorite songs from songs that are stand out, single worthy tracks. Like, there's an obvious difference between Bad Romance and Teeth. There is a difference between Poker Face and Eh, Eh. There is a difference between Sinner's Prayer and Million Reasons. And there is a difference between The Edge of Glory and Black Jesus. Some people love songs, and would consider them album stand-outs, while others dislike songs and dismiss them as fillers. There's no way to measure or answer this definitively. Those who say that BTW is an album full of fillers simply don't like the album. k the best way to gauge fillers is to look at the song individually and see how it compares to the rest of the album sonically and lyrically. In this sense, i don't think there's really any fillers on BTW because most of the songs have a cohesive sound and lyrical theme. this. if everyone just understood this there would be no need for this thread whatsoever, because this is all about opinion on what songs you enjoy and those you enjoy less. Gaga wrote so much music for ARTPOP, Born This Way, and Joanne, so the songs that made it onto the album are songs that she is happiest with, finds related to the album concept, and she wants on the record soooo.. yup. that's that. be kind guys
RonnieGagz 4,300
Gaga has no fillers at her albuns. A filler song is a song that mostly everyone should agree that it could be cut from the album and nothing would be loosen. Gaga has different sonorities in each album, so cutting something would cause discontentment from a lot of fans. A The Chainsmokers album has a lot of filler, because their production is the same thing made over and over again. So the songs that are more catchier overshine the rest of the album that is the same thing but poorer. ♡Gaga♡TØP♡Nightwish♡Lana♡Lorde♡Grimes♡
