I'm sorry, Taylor is so basic when it comes to song writing.

The only songs I like lyrically are Style and Wildest Dreams... The rest of that album I listen to just to bop to for fun

Currently listening to Joanne

Honestly I couldn't tell you - I generally don't pay attention to Taylor's lyrics since her voice has no presence :reductive:

Men are naturally more dominating, aggressive, and logical thinking because we have balls.

If you're looking for an objective opinion, ur in the wrong place

Ikr !!!
Yesterday I simply asked for opinions in one of my threads,
and it ended in comments of wannabe-knowers, wrong statements and rude persons,
so I let close/lock the thread by a moderator :D
Its very sad that some people cant just do what is asked.
When it comes to difficult/though topics, the bitchfighting starts ^^

I don't really know. Based on songs they have sole writing credits for I'd say Gaga

xoxo Joanne

I don't know, I havent paid attention to TS's lyrics that much and don't know that many of her songs. But Gaga seems more diverse in the themes she writes about

In fact that was meant as a joke and only should show that you cant compare 2 artists with only 2 quotations and say that the one or other is a better songwriter.

Those lyrics are on of the most iconic on recent pop culture. As people can't discuss literature by reading one sentence out of context, we shouldn't evaluate songwriting compositions that way. Gaga's approach to writing is much more interesting as she explores themes as art, overcoming obstacles, religion, identity, sex.

Then I could say the lyrics from Shake it off is also iconic !

Just because we are in a Gaga forum here, you cant simply quote 2 songs and then say that Gaga is a better songwriter (because you like gaga more),
like the monster on the 1st site did.

Lets be fair !

You can either justify everything you want with "iconic" or just accept that you cant compare 2 artists with a few quotations and that's all based on personal opinions.

As you self said:

The same thing can be done in reverse though.

I'll still go with Gaga because she's a versatile lyricist. She can write about anything in any genre and can write from different mindsets (mature, immature, b1tchy, humble, you know like writing alter egos)

She has 4 other albums all with better lyrics than 1989 tho (imo) :oprah:. Why only include one? Whatever I didnt expect anything else after going into this thread and some replies are hilarious :poot:
