Running against a candidate is called a democratic process, her flaws stand true wether they were pointed out or left unsaid. the fact that donald trump garnered the support of a major part of our nation is why he won. We deserve candidates who represent us, neither of which did. That weak Democratic candidate got more votes than any other person running for President other than Obama in 2008. For someone so "disliked", she had more votes during a primary than anyone and also won the popular vote. Hillary's favoribility rating was high as First Lady, senator and after being Secretary of State. No one knew who Bernie was because he was an Independent Senator from a small state who had never done anything significant during his time in government. Many were simply independents who didn't have a clear view of what they wanted. I personally know people who supported Bernie in the primaries and then voted for Trump. They didn't base their votes on ideology but rather on voting for an "outsider" different from your typical candidates.
