Doot 2
The one thing everyone should take away from this, as we need another creative, cohesive concept album like this one.
Doot 2
Bad Romance "Gaga explained that she generally felt lonely when she was involved in a relationship and concluded that she was attracted to men with whom romance never works.[11] "Bad Romance" explores her preference for such lonely relationships and her poor choice in men" Alejandro "Co-written and produced by herself and RedOne, the song inspired by her "Fear of Men Monster", the lyrics portray Gaga bidding farewell to her lovers." Monster "Gaga had explained that "Monster" describes her fear of sex and relationships, and described the lyrics as being in love with the bad boy all the time, but instead of running away, one keeps going back to the same person. She added that the fear in "Monster" erupted from her need to have a stable relationship." Speechless "The song was written by Gaga to convince her father, Joseph Germanotta, to undergo open-heart surgery, in order to repair his malfunctioning aortic valve, and as a reminder for her younger fans to appreciate their parents. "Speechless" is described as Gaga's "Fear of Death Monster"" Dance In The Dark "Inspired by Gaga's "Fear of Self Monster", the song deals with the intimate experience between two people alone in a bedroom. According to Gaga, the record is about a girl who likes to have sex with the lights off because she is embarrassed about her body." Telephone " Inspired by her fear of suffocation, Gaga explained that the lyrics preferring relaxing on the dance floor to answering her lover's phone call are a metaphor, the phone calling her representing the fear of not having worked hard enough to succeed." So Happy I Could Die "Inspired by Gaga's fear of what she described as the "Alcohol Monster", the song is about the "happy place" people go to when under "the influence". Aside from the prevalent ideas of alcoholism, "So Happy I Could Die" also explores several sexual themes in its lyrics as well as liberalism." Teeth " In an interview with MTV, Gaga explained the meaning behind the song and its lyrics: "It is meant to mean two things, the first one kind of juvenile sexual provocative connotation is about oral sex, but also the monster in the song is fear of the truth. 'Show me your teeth' means 'tell me the truth' and I think that for a long time in my life that I replaced sex with the truth.""

anomdepllume 393
This thread is so interesting! I love seeing what everybody's different views and ideas about FM are, that's the beauty of this piece (well that and it's all jamz). For me, SHICD always had this note of excess as means of escapism. Maybe a little bit of vanity thrown out there too?
