The melody fits the instrumental perfectly like a missing puzzle piece, so much so that you feel like you're in a dream. I like the violins joining in for the chorus, and different voices coming together creating an atmosphere, that's what I like the most in songs, you feel like you've escaped to some place else (sounds cheesy but you're visiting different feelings). This song is sad, if you love sad songs that should be part of your playlist. "Why do all good things come to an end?" Same girl, I think bout it everyday It keeps building up and actually going somewhere unlike some of the songs in this album. It closes with Nelly's beautiful voice singing the melody in such a childish but charming way, adding to this beautiful vibe. Ugh, it's a masterpiece to me, I wanna give it a 11 but oh well @Turuncan Surprisingly, this successful single is my least favorite among all album tracks. Maybe due to its inability to be genuinely sweet as much as it desperately tries to be, or the existence of Chris Martin on the track, whom I hate from head over heels, I could never warm up to this song. @KING ELIZABITCH Another highligh of the album is this track with it's poetic sadness that closes the original version of the album in the most elegant way. Thankfully this one didn't steal the crown from the lovely other three!
narcoswing 1,129
No. 3 - Say It Right Score: 9,21 My own ranking: #1 Highest score: 11p @KING ELIZABITCH Lowest score: 6p @juju Comments: Spoiler Personal opinion: I l-o-v-e Say It Right, I have always loved it and I always will. There's something about it I can't really explain, but it's so ethereal and out of space-y that I don't think it needs any explanations. A true 2000's classic. Bad Romance Whom? @kyanewest This song gives me chills everytime I listen to it, the instrumental, ugh I don't know which instruments they used but it feels like you're floating through air, it's a dreamy type of sound, and at the same time makes you dance with the powerful drums, doesn't mean it's a happy song, you can feel the sadness and nostalgic feeling through Nelly's voice but also the melody. By the way the melody is so beautiful that to me this will forever be a great song to listen to. It's so original too, in what song you can hear a man screaming "HEY!" "You don't mean nothing at all to me!" and for it to sound good and not goofy? It just adds to the gloomy dream-like atmosphere, so perfect. I wanna give this 11 but already gave it so imma gave it 10,5/10 lol @Turuncan The moment I heard this song right after when I first purchased the album, I was truly mesmerized. The lyrics, the melancholy, the 80s feel, that short guitar riff on the second chorus, her cross vocals… Even months before it was released as a single, this had been “my song”. @KING ELIZABITCH I would be dumb if i wouldn't give my 11 to this. One of the best hit singles of the past decade. It's like God touched their pens when they wrote this song. It goes down in history as one of the best tracks of all time seriously. I HAVEN'T PRAISED A SONG LIKE THIS AGAIN.

narcoswing 1,129
So were down to the top two tracks! Before I post them I'd like to thank the 6 of you who sent in your scores, and again apologise for last night's mess lol. I had plans of doing a megarate for The Ride but since it sold less 1.8k and the fact that this megarate wasn't as successful as I had hoped, I'm gonna let the good sis rest. Thanks again for participating in the rate and attending the ceremony!
narcoswing 1,129
No. 2 - Promiscuous (featuring Timbaland) Score: 9,28 My own ranking: #4 Highest score: 11p @Haus of Aura Lowest score: 6p @juju Comments: Spoiler @kyanewest I love this song, such a bop, no matter how many times you listen to it, it's one of those songs u can't get tired of, even if they seem basic and normal as hell, there's just something about them that u just can't get enough of. I love the beat, again, the chorus got a strong melody and that's what makes the song memorable, imma rate it 10/10 @KING ELIZABITCH I know this single is repetitive and overplayed over the years but it's one of the biggest and catchiest rnb hits of the 00's. Everyone was going crazy when this was playing at the clubs. Still love her flirty rap attempt. @Turuncan A more fun version of its predecessor, and containing more hip-hop flavor, this is the second true fire starter of the album in North America. I have always believed that this track is also responsible for starting the second golden age of Timbaland, who has found himself a perfect partner in crime, Justin Timberlake ------------------------- No. 1 - Maneater Score: 9,71 My own ranking: #2 Highest score: 11p @kyanewest Lowest score: 8p @Haus of Aura Comments: Spoiler @kyanewest Bruh, just the beginning, you know this song is gonna get iconique. And it did, no wonder it was a hit!! Timbaland gotta be the king of making the best drum rhythmn. Chorus on point, how can u not listen to this song and BE ON, u know what I mean. I'm sorry this is 11/10. It starts from iconique and goes to epique (epic). @KING ELIZABITCH One of the standouts upon first listen. We were bopping so hard to this back in high school in 2007. Fierce and voluptuous it's the perfect track to describe Nelly of that period. It has an 80's synthesized sound to it despite its modern style. @Turuncan One of the true fire starters of the album, the other being its successor. ‘Maneater’ promoted “Loose” in Europe in the best way that it could, easily convincing me that the album I had been waiting for years was worth the wait with each and every note of it. Dark urban pop at its best!

Awfully many ties though, but that's because of the low participator count. It's nice to see though that most of the tracks got over 8 points when you removed the unnecessary 0's and 1's. Guest
I'm sorry but if a song sucks why would I give it even 1? I'm pretty picky when it comes to music, either it's quality or it's mediocre, or trash. Not gonna be nice
