What happened to the amazing art films of The Monster Ball or using massive screens to project them or bringing the best technology to make a visually stunning experience,e you know, visuals, the thing that made Gaga remarkable? She didn't want screens during TBTWB, I think it was because she wanted to be more face to face or something 광야로 걸어가 알아 네 home ground

I'm still so mad I lapsed from being active on here and stanning for Gaga. Thanks everyone for these responses, I really have been wondering quite a bit what everyone here thought so I appreciate! Anytime sis I wasn't on GGD during the ARTPOP era at all, I can only imagine the discourse that I missed... probably for the better though! Looking back, it was a really fascinating era, where it started off so strong but then the breaks hit and Gaga had to gather herself. Still an amazing example of watching someone close to succumbing to the pressure, but in the end succeeding and only becoming stronger in the end ❤ x ❤

Doot 2
The steady decline of her popularity didn't start with ARTPOP, it started with Alejandro. While she was always over the top, whenever religious imagery is used in anything, people instantly reject it and think its for attention. Not to mention the video drew comparisons to Madonna, and then BAM, Born This Way. Born This Way was almost overshadowed by the Express Yourself comparisons, and then she chose Judas as the second single, only making things even worse. It felt like they were trying to course correct behind the scenes, with putting two "non dance" songs such as Edge of Glory and You And I back to back, and by the time Marry the Night hit, it was basically game over. I think releasing a Joanne style record in place of ARTPOP would have been beneficial in correcting her public image. During ARTPOP, she acted strange in interviews, everything was very high brow, and I think came across as very pretentious, although I didn't mind. Applause was pitted against Katy who had basically dethroned her as the Pop Sales Charter, she had the public breakup with Troy, backlash for Terry Richardson with coincided with the R Kelly backlash. She technically started to really course correct with GUY. I think after TF and TFM, anything she put out that didnt sound identical was going to cause backlash. I think if she had the same type of work ethic now as she did when she started, she would be charting, selling, streaming much higher, but I think she realizes that working herself to that extent isnt worth the numbers if it means it affects her health. Kelly one or was that ship already sailed? I think it was an afterthought, it was release because of their positive reception from their performance. Especially Gaga released it as a New Years gift, at that point DWUW was the single-who-shall-not-be-named. Uh Red Wine... Convict... Gah Gah... RAMROD 109,366
IMHO Gaga was not emotionally there to do all those promos, she was in very deep dark place, depressions are very consuming. When the inner you don't want to do things then you just don't, when forced the result are always so minimal. Thanks for the well, thought out response. This is the only part I would push back on. I do think especially right now Gaga is working her actual ass off filming a movie, in a new relationship, promoting an new single and coming off of extremely significant one-time performances. But, yeah—obviously she has that viral video about having to step back so I do see what you're saying...I just think she's kind of going to be more careful about not sustaining a 24/7 work mentality for too long without taking mental health breaks between. Used to be on here as broadwaybobby in TFM era

You're welcome. Not to say she isn't working hard now, but I more or less mean the hustle she used to have when it came from traveling all over the world non stop, touring, videos, tv, radio, etc. It was NONstop, so it is no wonder she broke. I mean, I guess it is kind of sad when you think about it because I remember back in 2011-2012, one of the things that was most frequently said about her in the media was that she worked harder than anyone in the industry. I remember the one Monster Ball she had to cancel because she was so sick, and wanted to go on stage and her team forbid her from doing it. Hell, she was even puking during the BTW while on stage (granted, that could have stemmed from the hip pain). So it is kind of a choice: do we want crazy success like before knowing it will end up hurting her, or do accept less and be happy knowing shes healthy both mentally and physically?
