Buddy 5,686
This breaks my heart because no one should have to feel like this, and it's only going to make tensions worse. But at the same time they said that they matched the description of people who did have guns in that same area so they were taking precautions. OMonster 15,025
Wow, I was really affected by this video. I am literally crying right now... that was so, so heartbreaking. To hear a mother cry for the life of her child really, really hit me. Damn. The over-use of guns in America is so sickening; as is the brutality, harshness and discrimination of the country's police force. This would've been a very different scenario had it been some white guys. I understand the situation and the context of the situation (in terms of it this being a precautionary measurement), but there are other ways to go about it. You do not point a gun (at least so quickly and so flippantly) at some kids, and - without concrete reasoning - you do not make a mother walk out of her home to see her child being threatened. It's human rights, you know? subtext / fantasy
BlaqJezus 1,027
First of all, being 12 has nothing to do with whether a gun should or should not be pulled on you in this day and age, BUT this wasn't they way to handle this situation. He was in a car and they were walking...whatever crime they may have been supposed to have committed, having a gun pulled and without the safety on, is not the correct way to begin an engagement with a suspect unless the suspect had been known to show deadly force in past encounters...which I doubt these kids have. This is the kind of thing that starts all this in the first place. A bad practice like this, that turns into an "accident" which could have been avoided by using proper practices in the first place. I would venture that this is also racism, just by the fact that if this had been a group of white kids, this would have been the last way a police officer would have reacted for fear of repercussion. Until cops start wrongfully killing white people, I don't know what will make people in this country care.

Economy 52,861
Ok but if they matched discription and clothes of people they were looking for that were armed... Isnt it natural that police took measures? I whatched the whole video. No one was at fault for this

Not The Real Gaga 7,582
The American police force is so laughable and the same time just really, really sad and childish. They are just serial killers, nothing more. They don't want to catch criminals, they just want to kill them. America is the land of the violence, aggression and stupid armed individuals. Your country is SO, SO sick. Can't get over it.

Until cops start wrongfully killing white people, I don't know what will make people in this country care. Yes. Let me also add in the fact that because of racial stereotypes, young black boys are often seen as "thug like" to the point that police officers or people that report stuff "see" them as grown adults, despite the obvious fact that they are not. 9 year olds, 10 year olds, 12 year olds, etc. do not look like grown men and we need to stop ignoring this fact. Being tall and black is not a crime. Being pubescent or pre-pubescent is easily discernable. Also, what exactly was the call? There are some aggressive black people with guns walking around? Did they say black people were shooting guns? They just had them? or what? Because that also has a great impact on how the police should've approached them. Black people simply having guns and WWB (Walking while Black) is not enough reason to approach people with guns no safety on, ready to shoot. White people can walk into national conventions with guns of all size and caliber and be easily seen as "aggressive" and no one is arrested for simply being threatening, no one is told to put the gun away 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから
