Trump is doing exactly all the destructive things he said he'd do and being just as aggressive and offensive as he was on the campaign trail, so I don't understand how one can support his candidacy and not his presidency. There's literally no difference between candidate Trump and President Trump.

You can ask him exactly what led him to ditch Trump that said, if people see the light, I feel we should welcome them with open arms.

You're right, I do need more details to make the call...but I guess in general I'd say it's a 'no'. A lot of those who voted for Trump and have since recanted their support did so because they were negatively effected by a Trump administration policy. But, you see, we all knew Trump was going to screw people over if he became president. So my biggest issue with Trump dissenters is that most voted for him knowing his policies would hurt others and have only since recanted their support when they realized his policies would hurt them specifically. This is just a general trend I've noticed though, like I said, I agree that I'd have to wait to hear the OPs reasoning for supporting pre-election and not supporting post-election. I'm going to hold him accountable for supporting Trump on this site constantly for well over a year...from supporting Trump's lies with his own, twisting facts, and straight up bringing propaganda and fake news over. Actions have consequences.

You keep saying 'he voted for Trump' while @Whispering infers he did much more than vote--he supported his policies and spread misinformation on behalf of Trump. If you're going to do that, then after it's all said and done say 'I actually don't like him anymore' I don't think that warrants a free pass. Look at how devastating the travel ban was...look at the families being torn apart as ICE removes people once considered legal citizens by our federal government...look at LGBTQ protections being weakened. You don't get to commit an action, or several, in supporting a candidate into power who irreparably changes the lives of millions of people for the worse then take it back. It's more complex than that. I think Whispering is more than allowed to hold him accountable for the candidate he supported and voted for.
