That's talented footwear if it can shoot c*mshots just sayin' :reductive:

Yes, I also do love partying in moving houses as seen in that one Bacardi tv ad.

Yea, I always interpreted it as her killing FameGa off and the box that era put her in. A lot of people expect her to replicate the sound and success of The Fame.

A lot of people say The Cure replicates the sound of The Fame and I just don't hear it, aside from it being commercially pop and effortless.

I think the chorus sounds a lot like her music from 2008-2009. Like, even though The Cure sounds like tropical house or whatever, the chorus has The Fame Monster quality to it. The melody and the production of it remind me a lot of her older stuff - even though the verses are very modern and mainstream.

Like I said, I think it being pop and more commercially friendly and less self-conscious reminds me of her early stuff. But, in terms of the song itself...not so much? Her early pop was very epic and loud, while The Cure is a lot softer (pop in general today is a lot softer and not quite as 'epic' in my opinion).

I know! But I was talking about the chorus :laughga: It's a pure pop hook, it's very different from the other parts of the song which are lighter and clearer. If the chorus was mixed in a right way, it would be stronger and sound like any chorus on The Fame or The Fame Monster. In my opinion, only the verses of The Cure sound like whatever's on the radio atm...

I think it sounds more like her unreleased songs created during 2007-2008 with a modern twist.

Agreed!  That's been my thought since I heard the song that very first time.

I am the only one who thinks this scene is just random? I dont think she is killing her new or old self. Just shooting at herself for fun? :emma:

Art has a meaning though. Gaga is great because there's meaning in everything she does. She isn't weird for the sake of being weird.

I know, and I love that part of her. But maybe we are looking too much, I dont know. She thinks we think everything is cryptic :emma:

Enigma

What if it's The Cure (or whatever the EP/Album is) Gaga killing the old Gaga (including Joanne)

I feel like The Cure and Brooklyn Nights sound like they could be from the same album. Or, perhaps that's just me wishing for ARTPOP Act II.

I think they have the same -or similar- production and song writing team behind them: Gaga, DJWS, Nick Monson etc. And they were most likely written in the same era.

I think it`s the effortlessness of it and some of the melodies or maybe her vocal style that remind me of her unreleased pre-Fame work

Maybe the MR Gaga walking away during The End scene is JoanneGa leaving us for good because us flop fans weren`t here for what she was singin` :poot:
