If it were a strong single it would have stayed longer in the top 10... hell even the top 15.

SAM HUNT has been in the Top 5 for the past several weeks with relatively little promo, not much radio presence, and not even that big of a fanbase. He survived several high profile releases and he's STILL THERE (light green in fact with #2 DR).

It's the song.

It's not a weak song. Its clearly a hit. It's dropping because her stupid team didn't keep the itunes banner and hot track for more than a day. It would have been ideal to have until Monday. Besides she didn't even tweet the Youtube link which would help slightly.

ITS THE SONG.

If the public doesn't like it, then that's that. And the streams are probably coming mostly from us.

We should be happy because Gaga is becoming stronger on streaming instead of making pointless meltdowns.

Her drop on iTunes is nothing to panic over. It's normal for a song with the amount of radio airplay it currently has. It's doing very well with streaming so far for Gaga's standards and radio is being very receptive to it early on. Looking forward to rubbing it in your face a few months from now when this song is a massive summer smash hit.

Sam Hunt has 75 million audience impressions on radio right now. People need to stop acting like the song is selling without daily exposure, cause it isn't. He's also a country artist with a big fanbase, which explains the stability on iTunes.

The Cure is only dropping so rapidly because the only exposure it had right now (banner and Hot Tracks) was removed.

Now more promo or increased radio airplay will help pick it up again.

The song is far from weak and has a lot of potential. Patience is the key.

Actually the public does like it. People who normally don't listen to gaga have praised the song. Here on Belgian radio it's doing amazing and believe me that's big since they've dragged her so much these last years. They all see it as her comeback after BTW (yeah, they don't even acknowledge ARTPOP's and Joanne's existence). I've heard and seen nothing but praise from radio hosts and people so u better chill and let it take off since it's just a week old. I swear some of y'all are so negative.

Edit: and before you quote me on Belgium not being a major music market know this. They have been boycotting and dragging her here for a long time so if TC can cure Belgium it will most likely do the same or even better in the rest of the world.

The point is: Sam Hunt didn't have "75 Million audience impressions" when he released it several weeks ago, and he still hanged around the top 10 (before moving up to the Top 5 eventually).

I'm willing to give The Cure a chance, but I wouldn't get my hopes high. Maybe a top 20 peak- but I just don't see it being a Top 10.
