I totally get your point but if Gaga ends up being unable to promote aside from the MV, I think it is a bit of an unfair assessment and a bit entitled to say her acting career is not going anywhere especially since she's also giving us yet more new music next year (she has already released new music annually since ARTPOP if memory serves). I really wish she didn't release right now, bc of all her factors, as Knowing her, this era's promotion will be dead ass last on her priority list, but here we are. I guess I see your point, but it was so frustrating to see it happen with Perfect Illusion... for which she still has no excuse for… and I don't want to see it again. God, why does she do this lmao. Not yet established as mainstream. Gaga reached her peak in India when she arrived to promote Born this way. She had lukewarm reception up untill Bad Romance. She became a household name in Urban India after her BTW promotions, c.a. 2011. She lost most of her fan base to Katy Perry since. This is mainly because Katy had a successful next album/singles. And Katy performed at the opening ceremony of the 5th Pepsi Indian Premier League, in 2012. In 2013 after Applause, nothing stuck with the GP. Media continued bashing her as in the west. 2014-15: Disappearance from public conscience. PI and Joanne have lukewarm reception in 2016.
