She even stated herself in interviews within the last few years she doesn't try. She just lets people come to her with songs and she just sings them to make a paycheck. Words from her mouth. Gone are the days of Toxic. Gaga is good in the public eye right now. It's the music she has been putting out that is turning people off. Critics don't matter, neither do the fanbases. It's the public (i.e. the Chainsmokers.) If Gaga puts out DANCE music, which is what people want, she will rise up the charts. But since the beginning of the ARTPOP era, she doesnt release things the same way she used to. There isn't Promo, music videos, live performances, talk shows, remix albums (REMIX ALBUMS ) like she used to. Gaga used to have a solid formula: 1. Release hype for song. 2. Release song. 3. Radio deals. 4. Promo including radio calls, television interviews and performances. 5. Killer 5min+ videos that showed she really took her time. 6. Remix albums which GREATLY helped her in the clubs. She doesnt do all that anymore so her songs charting lower, or not at all don't surprise me.
