DJWS : well we all recognised him. + he lived in Detroit

Second guy : Mark Nilan : he wrote on The Cure + He's from Detroit :

'Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Mark moved to southern California to pursue a musical career in 2006. He spent his first two years at the California Institute of the Arts working towards his Masters Degree in Jazz Studies, which he received in the summer of 2008. While at CalArts Mark wrote and produced his first solo album, Hands On. Hands On features a quintet including Nilan on keys, Gregg Bissonette on drums, Abraham Laboriel Sr. on bass, Ricky ?Z? Zahariades on guitar, and Brad Dutz on percussion. Hands On is a high energy, modern jazz album.'

You have cracked it I guess! :excited2:

he is one of the writers of TC and for royalty / business purposes, songwriters don't use a pseudo name. Writing credit is the easiest way to expose someone. As suggested by RedOne, Gaga credits her writer even for the slightest contributions. Very likely Mark Nilan is a part of DC.

Curious they don't follow each other on social media. Tbh they don't seem close enough to form a producing duo, unless it was solely a one-off in a session with Gags

Spoiler

but DJWS and Zedd also don't follow each other, so my logic's faltering  :gum:

Mark Nilan has brown eyes and the person in the Detroit City picture has blue/green eyes. Mark works with Zedd so it makes more sense that Mark is actually behind The Cure because of Zedd.

It's heavily speculated though that this is an older song, though.

I doubt that and besides, Detroit City have produced other songs outside 'The Cure'.

True, but that was from late last year, so realistically we know nothing about the timeline of production, or if they even worked on it together in person. I get the impression that Detroit City is just a passion project for these two, so it wouldn't surprise me if they've been taking their time with the music

Taylor Swift used a pseudo name in This Is What You Came For, though

Yeah why would Zedd associate himself with a floppy producer like DJWS?

You need a huge team to do that. Legal stuff and tax stuff.

DJWS probably made more than Zedd with royalties of Gaga songs. Zedd has like 3 worldwide known hit at most. So would DJWS be a flop?
