to all those who say gagas new single sounds too mainstream

or its not risky enough

or even believe that you have to justify her choice of sound for anytime she releases anything,

lemme just say:

"My ARTPOP could mean ANYTHING"

It's an incredible career move. Draw in the masses with a radio-smash bitch!! What she does next with all the attention will be very interesting.

Not every song she does has to be boundary pushing. Sometimes its nice to have a mainstream pop song here and there. I bet your ass loves DIC too smh like girl bye dont call The Cure basic when ya'll stan DIC.

The only thing wrong with the song is mastering and vocal correcting/handling. Otherwise, it's a pretty good song. To each their own.

Imo it is so f__king basic! She gave in to radio friendly tropical synthpop basicness!

Which is good for her career and relevancy 😊

Let me guess.

Joanne is too country and ARTPOP was a flop?

So what you're trying to say is she should just keep making music that the gp wont give a **** about and only cater to her fans which happens to be divided for every album era because she's usually hopping to different genres.

Tbh if she doesn't get along with the younger generation that will end her music career because she'll dwindle out of relevancy to pop culture.

And may I remind you she planned to explode in her 30's.

If you want to listen to something new and groundbreaking try exploring other artists.

It is what it is. And for the haters, pay special attention to the subtext. This is Gaga at her finest, serving us a feast of conceptual ideas. Enjoy it! Don't question it.

This. When will her "fans" understand that she's a POPSTAR and, in order too keep her relevancy, she must adjust herself and change to get a chance to really be part of the younger generations which are the ones buying and streaming music like crazy.

I always said if she'd release any The Fame leftovers they'd be an instant hit. Now she has made a song that sounds exactly like her pre-fame discography so I should be happy I guess. I am because I want her to do well, the release just makes me feel a bit sad for some reason. Like she's given up on Joanne because it's not a hit maker. As if that's all the matters. That combined with the fact she's barely talking on social media unless it's to promote something did make me feel she's a bit too desperate. One moment she's promoting MR non stop for months, the next Joanne is pushed aside. But on the other hand I totally understand what she's doing and I like her not sticking to the rules and just releasing a song because she wants to.

The song is not totally my cup of tea, but so was PI. The difference is this is stuck in my head, I love her soft voice in the verses and have been begging her to use her voice like that. Also love the power vocals in the chorus. I prefer this over songs like PI that can feel a bit overbearing.

So I guess it's not the song that's disappointing, it's the timing and the lack of communication with us fans.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch
